How budget is your shop?

I have many vendors in many Locations. I post this qustion to you noobs who own shops, who cant pull in enough bussiness that you have to remove my runes from high traffic areas and replace it with yours? You cant drop your rune next to my runes why?
You KNOW who you are!

A good shop barely needs advertisement. My books to shops other than my Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western luna runes consists of shops that are for the most part always stocked, fairly priced, and carry what I'm looking for usually.

Hearts Desire's, Ellie's (Who's on a break! And makes me sad!), Poison Ivy's, RK Mart, Majestic Florist, Scarlet Witches three shops, the Flower Basket, and Isabeau's are pretty much where I hit my runes when I'm lookin' for something.

I gave my wife my Moonglow home, she's turning that into a shop now and being a busy bee and excited about getting it open.

PS: I fully admit to marking over, throwing away any Animocity labeled runes.

you think you could make me a vendor runebook? my old one is completely outdated and 75% of the runes arent shops anymore

Yeah, I sure can. I've got two full ones, which I need to filter through. One of my favorite shops was sold, and now it's soooo hard to find granite. I even had to go mining! But I seem to know which vendors are usually stocked nowadays for that..

F that. I'd rather get three root canals, get castrated, and then repeatedly kicked in the groin, all without anesthesia, than to go mine for a week. Hell, make it mine for a day lol. Good God thinking about mining like that is absolutely painful. Just go kill a couple miners and take their granite, much easier.

Tell that to McDonalds, WalMart, ATT, Comcast, Sears, etc etc etc.

Just pointing it out that everyone needs to advertise.

You don't receive the Abercrombie book in the mail every quarter? or how about the 321948723948723 signs of people that haven't eaten in months that are in the glass windows of there stores? Or how about the logo placement all over sporting events? They may not put stuff in the newspapers, but there marketing budget in huge. Go to New York or San Francisco and tell me if you can go 2 miles without a big sign next to the street with some perfect specimen of a person with there logo on it.

You know, I used to think the same about the "people who haven't eaten in months". But then again I was also 230 pounds back then. I think of it more as, people who are HEALTHY. Instead of how many people in the country who suffer from obesity? Now I wish MORE stores would only carry sizes XS-L. Who knows, maybe you're just in the 230 pound category.

As for the west coast, I've never been there. I haven't been to NYC since an 8th grade field trip, yet it's only a few hours away. The only advertisement I've seen is somebody wearing a Hollister shirt on Kitchen Nightmares. And no, I don't recieve the book, I go to the stores. That's the whole point. If you want me to explain further, just ask.

No offense Zynia, but if i ever ran a business you would definetely not be in the marketing/advertising department. All succesful businesses advertise. In fact most pump millions if not billions into advertising every year. Look at WalMart and Microsoft...probably the two richest companies in the world. I cant go a day without seeing some form of advertisement from one or the other.
On the radio they used to play a short advertisement for the yellow pages about the kingdom down by the sea....if you dont know what Im talking about it's no big deal. The radio used to be my friend when making those long trips to school and back home...now I live 2 blocks from campus.

I don't advertise for my shop and make plenty of gold every day. I do not go around dropping runes either. Although I have not played in a while, I am now working on restocking my vendors and bringing them back to life. So everybody come on over!

RK Mart I don't think I've seen advertised much. I mostly hear of it from word of mouth. Kathrina gets it. +1
