housing transfer

okay.

say i have 2 accounts. one character has a house on 2 different shards.

i want to transfer character A, the owner of one house, to another shard without losing the house.

so, i want to tranasfer the house to a character on the same account.

...

do i transfer it from character A to character B (who oens a house on another shard), then log out character A and log into character A2 (the character on the same account as the original owner) and transfer it back from character B to character A2?

is that safe?

is there anything in need to know or should be careful of?


if i can't do it this way, how do i do it?

You should be able to transfer the owner without transfering the house.

I accidently deleted the house owner of a house I had on another shard. I was concerned that I lost the house, but learned that all character's on the account are treated as the house owner.

So if you tranfer the owner to another shard, any other character on the account can still act as the owner. The best thing about this is you won't loose your Grandfathered rights to own a house on more than one shard.

The house doesn't belong to the char, it belongs to the account. I transferred my house owner to a different shard several times and it hasn't hurt anything.

Okay let me add to this if I may...

I understand that the house is owned by the account, but the House Owner is listed with a character from your account. I would love to have a different character listed for RP purposes. Aside from the name it has no bearing on game play that I can see. It would be cool if there was a way to choose who is listed as the house owner. Perhaps pick the toon from your account that you would like to have listed? For now I think my only option is to do a peanutbutter has outlined and use a 2nd account.

Anyone know an easier way?
