House on a Hill (revisited)

This is one of my houses that I've had mostly decorated for a while, though I hadn't uploaded pics.

This first pic I entered in the Halloween contest last year, though I've added a little since then.

This pic is level 3. Not much new. Just the inside of the small house on the hill and and underground spider lair.

The second level is a run down living quarter that tries to take advantage of some of the heritage items that I've wanted to use for a while, alot with an alchemy that appears to have had a rather ill blackrock accident/explosion.

The bottom level seems to be rather... morbid... and quite fun to build/deco.

Enjoy!

OOoh spooky! I like all the cool stuff you did with different bones. You really captured a great atmosphere there. *shivers* :)

Really really cool. I love the little house on the roof with the spider nests next to it. Normally I hate "dark Deco" but this looks awesome.

Thanks for the compliments!

Sarsmi, I figure you might appreciate the stairs. I purposely broke them up and faced them in the wrong direction to give more of a climbing feel than simply walking up the stairs. In the legacy client characters climbing the stairs have a bouncy/non-fluid motion, which is what I was going for. I then preceeded to somewhat hide the backwards stairs to help sell a rocky terrain more suited to climbing than walking.

I could probably go on and on about each part of each floor, but I don't want to drag on.

Oh that's really cool! I never thought of doing anything like that. I was also noticing that the third floor clips the wall on the east side and ends up giving the appearance of there being a dirt hill there by the wall that you have to climb up. So neat!

Speaking of clipping, I love how I get double usage out of the huge spiderwebs. They are on the inside of the third level 'arachnid room' and they show through the floor above which makes it look like 2 more spider web sections.

Oh by the way, non friends can make it through the whole house, though some of the paths are hidden/tricky to figure out. It's fun to watch people/friends try to figure it out, and I've had them tell me that it was fun trying to figure it out, afterwards.

Freakin' amazing.
Looking at these threads makes me feel totally unskilled as a house decorator.

Wow! Which shard is this on? Can you please post the coordinates? :)

I'd love to hop on to check it all out (if you don't mind!) :) I like all the small detailings that others might find very minor, but I think that it really truly added to the design (i.e. the shattered glass laid on the floor in front of the broken vanity, the rubble garbage graphic on the bed, etc.)

I personally love the spider lair and the blackrock room!

Wonderful job!! :)

Wow, I didn't expect anyone to pick up on the shattered glass in front of the broken vanity. I had posted a pic with the location before. Let me look for it...

There, basically run across the Vesper north bridge and keep heading in that direction. That should lead you onto the correct northern Vesper peninsula. Then it's Northwest. You should pass a house call "The Arms Pit"(mine) and something along the lines of "Evermore Vet Clinic"(my friends, that I designed). The "House on a Hill" is next to a Keep that is right behind those 2 previously mentioned houses.

I'm at work, so I can't get the exact coordinates. This is on Chesapeake.

This is "The Arms Pit" if it helps at all(though the roof plants are no longer on display there)...

(the house behind is no longer a white marble)

Oh yeah. I forgot to tell ya that it might be a little tricky to get into the inner levels. Were you able to figure it out?

Ooh wow. :D

Managed to worm my way into most of the rooms, except the first floor coffin chamber. That one eluded me... but boy, was it fun poking into the corners! Very nicely done, sir!

haha, awesome. That last room is a bit of a 'pain' to get into.

I'm glad you had fun. I know I had fun designing/decorating it!:D
