Stratics Legend
At the dawn of Britannia the invading Normans, who brought order and a government of monarchy, included members of the Tankerville dynasty who governed from Tankerville Castle in Normandy. Once peace was established in Britannia they built a fine castle in the forest of Yew along with several other illustrious families.
At the time when the House of Rosemar was still a prestigious family and community in the forests of Yew the only known female survivor of the d'Tankerville dynasty was attempting to survive in the often hostile forests. She was known only as Barefoot Princess by the simple folk who watched her from a distance; a seemingly deranged young woman, dressed in fine clothing which was badly torn and tattered, who ran around in the woods alone. All of the healers knew her well because she was constantly getting killed by the savage denizens of the forest.
One day in front of the Abbey where she would often have to beg for food and water, a couple of well dressed men were standing and conversing when they saw her approaching. One of them, Pitr, Knight of Rosemar, advised her to cut some trees and sell the wood so she would get some gold to buy what she needed. When she explained that she had only a dull dagger he gave her an axe which was so heavy she dropped it immediately on the ground. He and his companion just laughed at her, then gave her a hatchet which was much lighter.
Much later this woman became a Knight of Rosemar herself and fought with the best and bravest at the historic battle of Trinsic.
On the 13th of August in the c.e. year 2020, corresponding to the first day of lammas on the Julian calendar, Alix the Countess d'Tankerville issued a decree that this "BarefootPrincess" who is in fact the Branwyn of Errol is elevated to the tile and privilege of Baroness of Errol. Errol was established long ago as a barony by the then reigning King of Britain, but it subsequently fell into ruin.
Alix in her desire to find a suitable accommodation for Bran was approached by a man who said that he may be able to help her. He spoke with the lilting accent of the Eirish and said that he was caretaker of an empty building near the Yew moongate. Noone from the owners family wished to live in it as it was cold and drafty there in addition it was believed to by built over the ruins of the former Tankerville estate and so was haunted by the ghosts that formerly lived there. Alix saw this as an answer to her prayers and immediately acquired the property. Today she officially named it Tankerville Castle though by today's standards it is hardly that grand and would be considered a keep. Lady Bran Tankerville will begin restoring it and make it her home. She is looking forward to meeting her neighbors in Yew and will host an open house once things are in order.

Stratics Legend
Bran d'Tankerville set about the restoration of Tankerville Castle with uneasy feelings. The long suppressed bad memories of the Yew forests began to surface and the structure itself was creepy. The kitchen wood stove was cleaned and lit at least to drive out the damp; and a bed had been prepared for her though no brazier could be found to warm the room. At least it was summer she mused to herself after dismissing the servants to return to Trinsic at the nearby moongate. The massive door creeked as she closed it behind her for the night. It always gets dark early in Yew.
