House Decay To Be Turned On Within The Next Week

Sadly, in spite of many folks still having problems updating their accounts and payment information in the new Account Management system, it appears that the dev team has decided to go ahead and turn on housing decay "within the next week."

If you're still having problems and they are related to your credit card information, someone did finally figure out a very roundabout way of getting to that information and being able to modify most of it or just flat out delete it (maybe you made a typo?): http://vboards.stratics.com/uhall/250766-changing-billing-information-after-imputed.html#post2014520

There's also a stickied thread in UHall where people posted a lot of their issues and how some of those issues were eventually resolved: http://vboards.stratics.com/uhall/248406-account-migration-issues.html .

And, lastly, I believe they did finally fix things (on August 25th) so you can input gametime codes.

Good luck to anyone out there who's still struggling with this! Please give things one last shot, if you can, and hopefully things will work this time for you. And if you just can't get it to work, if there's something that you know is going to fall that you really want to hang onto, please SAY SOMETHING to someone. I know Siege is a rough-and-tumble kind of place, but I think 99% of the people playing here have good hearts and will go out of their way to try to help someone avoid losing something they really value, whether it's some unique rare, a hard-to-replace artifact, or something of sentimental value only. Please let us work together as a community to do whatever limited things we can do to save the truly important stuff for your eventual return.

Yeh, I saw that post on Uhall and thought to post that maybe they should wait a while longer yet like thru Oct. till they turn it all back on, cuz folks are still having major issues yet, with the new acct. migration system.

But then I thought, why bother, they will turn house decaying system, back on probably prematurely, regardless, anyhow.


My own accts. all 4 of em, will soon be ready to be *rebilled* and thus will be then shut down, till or IF I do get the new acct. management system to work for my 4 accts.

I have not bothered to even try it yet, since atm. for a wee bit of time my accts. have left, I CAN still log into UO via the OLD acct.management system's billing. After that who knows !

I have had an ally/friend on Ches. from 1997 Paxlair, UO Ches. give me her rl phone number, offering to help me go thru the migration mess, saying to me, just call her and she will try to walk me thru it to make it all work...if I try to go thru it. *still debating* whether I will even bother. It really should not be customers alone to help us thru it but EA themselves or their affiliates to do this.

It may sound weird, but in reality while I *may try* it just to see if I can get it to work, it really should NOT have be such a migrating mess, thus I debate it all, cuz I am just one of those been payin for nearly 14 yrs. with no complex issues and the old system worked FINE. We didn't have to jump thru hoops to guess or to try to figure it out, didn't have to go thru say some tier one tier two tier three, or get hung up on, nor told hey try back in a few days or so maybe we can get it to work for ya later etc. etc.

Perhaps it is cuz I worked for so many yrs. in Customer Service, and I was GOOD at it, that makes me wonder why I may wish to continue or not with EA Mythic and this new system where customer services seems sadly lacking. One can still love the game and wish to play and to pay for it all, it has to WORK at acct. management flawlessly for EVERYONE or it be a far emptier game world, hardly worth sticking around in an even emptier, UO. :(
I have worked for a major airline, travel agency, dept. stores etc. etc. customer service was always offered. Customer Service when I worked for even one dept. store so ingrained in us customer service is job one or we are out of a job, still has never left me.

I still feel 'customer service' is important or should be important if not crucial to any company's overall survival..or we give our cash to someone else, or just save it take a trip or do something else with it via another company that does care enough to TAKE our cash, willingly, without customer service issues, easily ! Maybe it is too ingrained into my rl nature, that customer service is JOB ONE or we are out of our job ? ! ?

That just isn't what I want to PAY for...ie maybe getting help/customer service [or not], to pay em to continue to play and pay, [or NOT], kinda mess. I would just want things to WORK right is all first go round for us as customers, is all or to BE there to make it work, second go round, no more, needed to make it all work, to continue to take, our money.

Thus as a long payin EA customer for UO I am serioiusly debating whether it IS worth it or not to even TRY to renew my accts. when I am due to be rebilled in a week or so.

I began removing my stuff on both shards, soon as this all began, bankin what mattered to me like silly parrots or tele tiles, the rest can fall to the ground if it must.

I did friend Delores GIL, to one chest in my house, so that player written books can be saved for the shard, books via Iantown, Py Lethius and KSS, and even a VMP guild book writen by WyRm , Aeric Horn items and his few player written books about KiN or MYTH, few things made by Lady Pyrite DTA, Skylark and Castor's alts.& others, etc. etc.

All those books and items, gm marks long gone from persons that used to play here, should be saved as *history* of some Siege guilds and former players for whomever is left to play on Siege to enjoy em.

The rest can hit the ground, if it goes that way for my old UO accts. if migration don't workout for me.
I won't care no more, if ya can't LOG in due to your accts.' migrations not workin for ya, via no help from EA, then so be it, customers lost...
and there be still quite a few gone thru that migration
and still have not had it work ok for them yet either, at all.

Perhaps housing decay system should NOT even be turned back on yet, till they scoop up all the customers they have shut out cuz migration has yet to succeed for those customers accts. ? ! Give it more time, fix issues, help folks still struggling to make it work, till everyone wishing to remain in UO, have all their accts. be turned back on, ARE turned back on and functioning first. Another month maybe ? Workin with customers to make it so for each of them ?

I took a look at the UO Japan site and guess what? Their announcement in Japanese has a LOT more details than ours does.

WHY IS SOMEONE IN VIRGINIA DOING SUCH A HORRIBLE JOB OF PASSING ALONG INFORMATION?? Why does the person in Japan posting the announcements take the time to explain some quirks about account ages and also, and very importantly, tell you to get on the stick and get your account management issues taken care of so you don't lose your house?!!!!

Anyone want a castle full of stuff? I just went to my page and realized that the ONE account we still have open is not on the lsit of all the accounts registered to my email. Okay.... I'll try to link it. I get this message: "Master Account is already linked with an EA account. Please login with your EA account".

WHAT?? :confused: I am logged into my account! I have no idea what other email the Enigma account would be linked to. I know there are threads upon threads about this, but I do not have the time nor the patience to read a bunch of posts or call a customer service line. :talktothehand: Especially when I have not played this game in.... how long? Maybe this is the push I need to just stop paying and let go of all of my pixel crack. The account is *supposedly* paid for through mid-November, but who knows with this incompetent company. If you see the castle go IDOC, grab some packies and a house placement tool. There is a fortune to be had.

I figured out the whole main account thing and now Mythic won't take my CC! I am getting a message that they can't make any transactions to that card right now. *grrrrr* Why not, damnit??? The card is not maxed out and I am up-to-date on payments. WTF, Mythic??? Do you want my money or not??

Call billing they will link everything.Took about hour for my 5 accounts and they had to reset all my passwords and just left me at the point of adding cc infomation and putting in what passwords I wanted for my accounts.It would not take my cc so instead of calling back I just used another one.Before this it was a night mare trying to get it linked since I had different emails on accounts.

It would not take my Discover(that i had been using for 5 years or more) but did take my mastercard.

Well isn't that interesting.... I was also trying to use my discover card. I know some companies won't take Discover, but if that is the case, it shouldn't be an option on the billing screen!

Well.... I guess I will try to use hubby's card.

Honestly, I just want to let the castle fall (there is too much in it to give away) but hubby has soulstones in it (dumb, I know!). I won't move them to the bank bc the character is in factions. wWth my luck someone would kill me at the bank and I would lose something he wanted to keep.

Everyone who cares already knows.

Those that didn't care or try hard enough have already lost there stuff.

2 nephews that are still stationed in Iraq hopefully don't lose anything.

Anyone that still has housing/account issues is now at the point that if they haven't fix there problems, its because they don't want to or are to arrogent to waste a hour or 2 on the phone to solve it.:stretcher:

The value of your house or account is directly tied to the effort you'll go to keep it. Effort (IMO) is based on PHONE TIME and not E-mail time. One poster stated they recalled back 5 times (in a row) before getting the magical/knowledgable person that SOLVED ALL THEIR PROBLEMS. DO NOT use migration issues as a excuse to quit when the real reason is "YOU" want to quit. Im totally out of pixel tissues to hand out.:sad2:
