House Customisation Issue (castle ect)

I was thinking on this now that I owned a castle and what the "real" problem was and I came up with....storage.
I think the whole old non-custom housing problem could be swept away if they just increased the storage limits in an 18x18 to the same as a Castle.

I know the only reason I haven't sold my Castle already is the fact it allows me to store everything I need to be a crafter in todays game and so much more.
Now if I could have the same storage in an 18x18 i'd drop the castle so fast it wouldn't even rubble.

So I was thinking "is it that simple?"
If you wanted an old style castle you got one with large footprint but non-customisable,
If you wanted to design your own house then the 18x18 was for you,
both have the same storage so the only difference is cosmetic.

not really.
some really like the classic look and footprint of the castle, there are only a few real stickler things that are irksome - like the open foyer walls (my biggest irk personally).
I like the large footprint - for it allows me to put out more of my pixels for show and tell - and I can get creative with deco. I've owned 18x18 and personally - they get boring after a while. But decoing a castle... I've always enjoyed that (even pre-AOS).

now with these new craftables (which is good, gives more usage and a purpose for all that mined stone), more creative designs are possible. some of the stuff people are tinkering with on TC1 is simple amazing! I've done some creative things as well.

Personally I'm still partial to my basement idea...

I'd pay an extra $2 a month or buy an "expansion" that allowed me to have a 32x32 plot on some off in the nethers server where I lock down a "hole" or "trapdoor" or such in my home and it "teleports" me to my "basement/dungeon" where I can custom a 32x32 plot with dungeon walls and floors or cavern walls and floors and it would have the same storage as a castle... Thereby adding the needed storage and since they are on remote servers where they can put as many as they want as far apart as they'd like it wouldn't "load" until you teleported there so again wouldn't add lag to the housing area's currently .... and it is a win win for everyone. So you could have a 7x7 and add the storage of a castle to it and no one would know.

Perfect for crowded servers.... perfect for storage addition and happy players not to mention cool if you want to RP someone in your dungeon!

I have 12 how many more you think I want? And I can't just put down another castle anywhere... Unless of course I want to move all 12 accounts worth of characters to another shard maybe but again that's not going to happen... I like the shard I live on.

And I totally don't need anymore characters it already takes me 3 weeks or more to get my .1 gains of the day...

And I already have the maximum of added storage on every account and I'm just going to be totally honest about that... but adding 60% storage to next to no storage on the usual 18x18..... does NOT add that much storage.

Adding 60% storage to a castle... does add a noticeable amount. But not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to place a castle... and certainly not more than one castle. Even so take someone having ONE house 18x18... lets say that they build up all 7 characters... So they have lets just say a Tamer, Thunter, Fisherman, Mystic/mage/imbuer, a Sampire and a crafter. First off one house is NOT going to hold all the crap the crafter needs to craft, let alone the stuff for the Thunter, the Fisherman and the Imbuing. So he adds the locker to put his maps and MiBs, that frees up a tiny bit of space.. but then Xmas comes..... what does he do with this junk??? No where to put it he is sol. So he quits THunting.... Quits Fishing... rarely imbues and then finds that well he has nothing left to do in-game because well.... his house is packed he has "done" it all at least all he can because he can't get any more stuff so he gets bored.... QUITS.

This helps the game how? Just saying... adding storage would not hurt the game.

Castles for everyone!

I really like the dungeon idea though.

On another thread I mentioned how nice it would be to have all stackable items in the bank to work like the new shard banking will.

Someday I hope to get a castle to decorate!
