It has been a long while since I quit playing UO and walked away cold turkey and let everything go with a very large number of IDOCs. A couple of friends kept me updated on the IDOCs and when the last one dropped a Month or two ago. I did give the Siege Island Keep to Vic and a Couple of high value Castles to someone that I promised them to should I ever quit. But other than that all of my houses and pretty much everything went. I hope everyone enjoyed the IDOCs particularly the Fel Castles where I left most of the good stuffs.

LOL No I did not die, nope didn't go bankrupt, didn't sell everything and become a hermit living in a cave either :) I just after all of the years in UO lost all of my interest in playing the game. Should I ever decide to return which is highly unlikely I did keep 100 plat stashed around on accts for some pocket change. I found that my memories of people and events in UO history were much better than the Present (at that time) in UO. I also found that I was playing more for those memories than the present or future. Seemed kind of pointless to continue paying all or any of the subs for something that only existed in my memory. So I just gave things I promised away, removed all of my billing info and let the accts die one by one and things go IDOC. It was just time for Tyrath and the PERVs to die and be gone from the UO World.

I occasionally play RuneScape now and then but mostly play Real Life. I retired in real life other than some black market business on the side. And have been doing the things I want to do and building the things I want. Not working too many hours and killing myself to make other people happy. I know some of you followed the T5R FB pages and one day they were just gone :) If you are still interested in following my Real Life Adventures, and Antics the Kamp Krap FB page has been up and running for a little while now. The most recent project I have been working on and posting about is building a 14.75 acre lake, Working on the first of two ponds above the lake the first one I am building the dam for now will be 7.65 acres and the second I will build next year will be 5.6 acres. I am building a new house but having a contractor do the shell, windows and doors and will spend the winter framing and finishing the inside. One of those things where it made more sense to pay a contractor to some things and spend my time working on other things.

Which brings me to some things I am going to build in the fall and next year around the lake. And where the UO community can chip in with suggestions. I am going to build a few UO replica landmarks. I have firmly settled on two, the UO Ankh and Ocrina Island and Replica of the keep there (Scaled way down ;) ) A perm real reminder of my time spent on Siege and in the Island Keep and well you can't build a tribute to UO without the Ankh! So I need 3 more suggestions of things folks feel would be good representations of UO History that are practical and can be built IRL. at not a huge expense..... Like under $10,000 per. Cough I am spending way too much on Ocrina Island and the keep LOL. Still paying for UO while not paying for UO hehe. If I have more space available in the half acre of bank I have plotted out I will build more if it fits in and looks good. I am building 4 other areas with fantasy and historical themes that I enjoy and have been intrigued by over the course of my life. You can't play a game like UO and make the RL friends that I have over the years and not say a game you played for well over 20 years did not have a influence or impact on your life :) And while I no longer play UO and found it to be wanting in the latter few years, I still very much Love UO and my history with UO. It was the place I could escape from reality and relax for a hour or Month as needed. I never quit over the years but often had extended times away due to thing like being to deployed to crap hole places in the world where the closest thing to internet was a shortwave radio. And later working 20 hours per day March through October did not allow for much time for anything beyond sleeping and working again. So when I quit it was not a decision I made lightly but a decision I made with confidence and totality. But UO will always hold a place in my heart and memory.

Well I finished building the clay core of Ocrina Island in the North arm Pond this morning and guess I should get back to work shaping it.

To put in perspective what I have been up to since leaving UO.
Camper and cabin idea.jpg

And how I finish my days up now. Still A LOT of water to go before the main lake is filled ;)

To those that still find joy and fun in Britania, hold onto it as long as you can and have fun!

Maybe the Yew Orc Fort? Safe Haven Crossroads with Healer post? Zoogi Ambitious Solen room where you kill the 5 queens? Those are all places on Siege that are meaningful to me, and I know that last one at least should be meaningful to you :) Good to see you are doing ok!

No more hogs?
Only 2 Sows and 1 Boar now days and one Bull and 5 cows. Just raising them for personal consumption and for a few long time customers that won't go away and leave me alone. Errr the Cow Sow won't hang with the other hogs and won't let the boar touch her......... or rather the Bull won't let the boar touch her. So she is more of an oddity and pet than livestock at this point.

Solen hive.. even a room would be hard to do above ground and I can only imagine what my insurance agent would think about going underground :) Orc Fort........ now that is one I had not thought of! I have plenty of smaller logs to do a small scale version of it and not hard to put a pointy end on top. Hmmm a bit of Red paint and the Ankh could be a Ankh of Sacrifice in the middle of the cross roads and the cross roads could be used to separate the features. Thought about doing one or two of the shrines, can't remember the one with the flowers and bridge over some water, that would maybe be kind of cool.

LOL also been thinking this afternoon of doing a Orc Ship Replica maybe 14 feet long and just letting float around the lake randomly or park it next to a bank like they always did at the Wolf House. Then Garth could come along in his leaky Jon Boat and Scuttle it and loot all of the junk in the hold :)

If they manage to make off spring.......... I would not even know what to call the off spring LOL.

I meant the boar and a sow, I don't want to see the SowBull offspring.

hedge maze

you could build small replica buildings inside
like the bath house, savage hut, guard towers

it would be a neat attraction for halloween time

Serpent’s Hold since your building the lakes have one on each side. You could also do Justice island as well in the middle.

And now we know why there a water shortage.

Hedge Maze would be really cool it would also be REALLY EXPENSIVE LOL I can't even imagine how many privets or junipers it would take to replicate that IRL. Could model the Cabins in that area after the classic small houses up to about the log cabin.

Hmm or Vesperish like. No Water Shortage here, one of my biggest problems is I keep hitting live springs, my farm sits on top of a 500ish acre Aquifer that is very close to the surface.

Where the tire depressions are is where I am getting real close to breaking through into the water table. Can't grade any deeper there or the tractor will end up buried to the frame.... Again in liquid clay the consistency of Elmer's Glue
DSC03222.JPG
Looking at pics though I could do something like serps on either side of the long channel.
DSC03113.JPG

Water level in the channel will be a few inches below the banks on either side.
DSC03116.JPG

Here is what I was looking for......... About one more pass with the box blade and that seepy spring will turn into a flowing spring and a pass after that the tractor will be sitting 3' down in the upper water table. I could only find one excavating contractor dumb enough errrr I mean skilled enough to build the lake dam. The lake dam was well beyond my equipment's ability to construct. Contractor ended up quitting at the tail end of the job in part because extracting a bulldozer from the water table is even less fun than extracting my tractors. Anyway over about 3/4s of the farm you hit water at 2-4 feet. So nope no shortage of water here LOL. This seepy spring was only 8" below the surface.

Have some land in PA we have same issue with the water everyone else wells went dry but we always had water. they ended up putting city water in for everyone and we got stuck with it as well. at some spots if you just shot the ground water would start coming up.

If water were oil I would be a multi billionaire LOL. I should have taken a pic of the base of the hollow Coon Tree. Guess when the roots rotted enough a small spring flowed up through one of the rotted out roots and made a pool of water at the base of it. Only about 2 gallons of water in it but there year round, can empty it out and 30 minutes later its full again. Doesn't over flow just fills the bowl and stops. A big old sow coon moved into a few years back and that is a very interesting tree in the spring when the little coons start venturing out and playing and climbing around on it.

Thank you for gifting me an Orc ship years ago on Origin! I built a small house on SP next to your Zento house on SE shore. When your house dropped, I used a stealther to grab a few items from the IDOC :)
I too have been playing this game for over 23 years and have made a handful of RL friends as well as in-game friends. Now that I'm retired I spend too much time playing UO, but my favorite quote is: "Spending time doing something you enjoy is never wasted time". If my health holds out, I'm sure I will be playing UO until the game itself dies. My suggestion would be an Orc ship replica but you have already thought of that :) Perhaps a a small scale lighthouse? Love what you are doing!

Now that is a GREAT IDEA the lighthouse!!! Never crossed my mind either! I have four pallets of flat stone I was going to build a retaining wall with years ago and never got around to building. Errr pallets are long since rotted away but the stone isn't LOL that would be perfect to build a UO Vet reward Lighthouse with and would probably function better LOL.

Hi guy! I hope you are no longer angry with me and Sis. Glad to know you are doing okay.

I finally got my Bachelors of Science Information Technology Network Administration degree in 2018.

We lost both our parents 14 months apart. Its been hard and at times overwhelming. We just take one day at a time that's all anyone can do.

Glad to see you are still on the planet! Take care and be safe.
