Honorable Execution?

Is it just me or is this the most completely useless use of mana in UO?

..maybe time to revisit this one some day. If you get a kill shot you get +20 ssi. But if you miss you drop to 0 magic Resist and lose like 40 of each Resist lol...

I mean has anyone actually used this and been like, wow this is semi useful

Used it a few times after SE came out and thought wow this is totally worthless and won't be on the list of things I will ever use.

Lightning Strike is now essentially useless too. Bushido could use a bit of tweaking.

I don't know about lightning strike. I still find it useful, at least on my sampire when I'm low on mana it helps with leeches. Even in pvp on my bush, deathstriker I use it for disrupts while I mana up. However it could use a property in the loot tables like a crit % increase.

From what I understand it doesn't give any extra damage on non-critical hits, just an HCI bonus, which doesn't exceed the cap. So for me only 1 in 5 attacks with it actually give any benefit. And then I'd still prefer armor ignore or double strike.

Pvm LS is useful. If I happen to run low on mana I usually use that until I can hit AI again.

As far as honorable execution yeah worthless at least in pvm.

I guess. I usually have max HCI so I'll just use regular swings instead when I need mana.

I agree! Except lightning strike and regular attacks do the same base damage usually. Lightning strike has a chance for crits. It's usually 1-2 lightning strike to be at full mana regardless. Same as normal attacks. So if I don't forget or am too off is space land it's what I'll do. Generally I'm watching youtube while fighting..but I digress!
