Honor on an ABC Archer

I have an old Chiv/Archer that I have converted to ABC. I have a pretty good handle on the template from several of the rather long posts on this board. However, any of you vets want to run down the routine you use to gain honor on an archer? Its a bit counterintuitive to the whole Bushido thing.

Do you honor...stand there let it hit you then shoot? Whats the best way here.

You needn't allow it to hit you or be unarmed. As long as the enemy is undamaged, honoring is as easy as hitting your "invoke virtue - honor" macro and targeting your enemy. As soon as you've targeted him, you can attack him and gain perfection.

To add to this completely correct summary, you can preface the honoring with a disarm/arm macro if you run into troubles with auto-targeting causing you to damage your target before you can get it honored. Simply disarm while waiting for a respawn, honor, then re-arm and go to town on it.

The only difference is that if you move after you have invoked honor using a distance weapon (archery or throwing), you will gain a little less honor than if you stood in one spot. I prefer to move and take a little longer to get to Knight level than stand there and get hit.
