Holly Jolly Moonglow Time!

Hi Kids,
I have returned as Governor of Moonglow, and the city is about to play host to the artisan festival!

As one of my first acts as Governor(again), I will be attending the tree each evening from 8-9 PM EST. I will be handing out filled BODs to any citizen (of Moonglow or any other city) who wishes to help the tree grow and collect a gift once it is complete! That's right! Bring all of your characters through, get a filled BOD from me, and turn it in to the elf! I will also have booze to hand out, and maybe other gifts! In addition, anyone who is a citizen of Moonglow, and wishes to receive a snazzy title will be helped as well!

So, come fill your evenings with some merriment in the fairest city of them all!

(we expect the tree to be up by Tuesday, it is located in the Northern part of the city near the provisioners/docks)

Last night was quite a spectacle! We had 15 people roll through and get some bods and holiday cheer. I was pelted by snowballs and had to comfort myself with the strongest of the Moonglow vintage. Come see us again tonight! Our tree is at stage 4!!! Bring your snowballs!!!

Last night was a little quiet, but we still had some visitors come and donate their handiwork. Today though, I received a message from @Sparviero . He told me the tree was nearing completion, and he wanted ME to turn in the final BOD! So we gathered around the tree despite the sudden invasion of Angry Angels and Turkeys, and I began feeding LBODs to the elf, and then finally.....

So as promised, a more thorough write up of what transpired in Moonglow last week! I was squeezed by the Christmastime Crunch, and have barely had a moment to play, I did turn in some bods to the Minoc tree, though I haven't had time to collect presents. This takes precedence however, so lets get into it!

As I said above, the second night of my vigil by the tree was met with the town going VVV, and very few visitors, but that did not stop the industrious people of Siege, and by the next day the tree was nearly maxxed out, that's when Magichands contacted me about delivering the final lbods to the elf. I was delighted, so delighted in fact that I finally gave in to Joline Maza, and added a teleporter to the Britain moongate Hub connecting to my Governor's Mansion by the Lycaeum. It was at the Hub that we first spied some out of the ordinary creatures roamin around. Talia is no fighter of course, so she observed from the shadows of a nearby tree before racing upstairs and using her newly placed teleporter to return home.

Once back in Moonglow, I saw MORE scary creatures in town, but they were lurking on the outskirts, and I hoped they would be lured over to the butcher's shop and leave the tree area alone. Magichands arrived only to be slain by one of the festive angels, but was soon put to rights by one of the town's many wandering healers. Tanager was a little lighter on her feet, and made it to the tree unscathed. I began feeding lbods to the elf, and after the 8th one, the tree lit up and a beautiful tree topper burst forth! As well as a crazy turkey, that sent the members of UWSP scurrying...



Having accomplished the feat of a fully decorated tree, AND surviving the frozen turkey assault, I wrapped things up for the afternoon and began to prepare for my third evening of merriment by the tree. I mustered a great many bods and all of the booze I could find for the revelers who would arrive. Everyone who came to make merry and donate to the elf would get a present in a box with a shiny bow the next day! I hopped atop my laden beetle and trundled into town only to find it was VVV again. I was assured it was almost done, and went and sat by the tree, as I had turned orange the night before. I found that our EM had added some amazing banners and even some casks of drink around the tree! VVV did indeed end quickly as promised, only to start again! Thankfully, Siege Perilous came and went through the motions to once again lift the VVV status of the city. It was time to party!!!

That's when the Angry Festive Angels showed up again....



I pleaded for assistance in chat, and I called upon Lupe, and soon enough, the scene became quite violent... I took my poor frightened beetle back home, came back, and hid by the tailor's to watch.




Soon enough, thanks to the efforts of many brave britannians, the angels were dispatched, and the town was safe again! I took my place by the tree, and proceeded to make Merry!
