I was off today and thought I'd try some stuff out at Yew gate to try and prove some stuff I've suspected. I put on a 81% physical reflect suit on my blue and went to the gate. I went up to a well known player talking to guildmates and waited about 5 min to make sure no spells or consecrate wep spells were cast or anything, I also look at his wepon it was %100 pysical damage, I then flag on him, and he yells "gUARDS" (spelled like that) and I proceed to let him hit me with with AI's AND moving shots, and NO damage is reflected back. I said to myself Hmmm, and rezzed and went back to him 10 min later, and repeated the test on him and a guildie of his, this time he hit me once BEFORE he yelled "gUARDS" and that shot reflected back, then he yelled "gUARDS" and his susequent shots did not reflect back, and the same thing happened with his guildie. Am I wrong or are they able to hit my lowest resist thereby avoiding my reflect phy with no spell or concecrate wep, simply by yelling "gUARDS". I urge you to do you own tests on them this is fishy thanks

Armor ignore are not reflected back. THEY IGNORE ARMOR. Also is physical resist the lowest resist on your suit? If they consecrate weapon and phys isnt your lowest resist then there goes your whole suit idea. As for him yelling guards thats probably a key or set to a macro like tabing into war mode or putting on a wep could be anything.

Nope no wepon change and was true for Ai's and MOVING SHOTS and well as being hit with a Heavy Crossbow and Crossbow from them all 100% phys , and no concecrate wepon. my physical is 70 my lowest is 37 and its not physical

Then that means CONSECRATE WEAPON destroys your entire suit idea. If the person casts consecrate weapon no matter what the dmg on there weapon it targets your lowerst resist. Which isnt physical so your reflect physical wont work. Try it again and have your physical be the lowest resist i bet it works.....btw how long have u been playing?

A long time, and no you dont understand he did NOT Consecrate wep, but was still hitting my lowest resist, "energy" with a 100% physical wep my phys is 70 my energy is 43, thus avoiding my 80 reflect physical
My whole point is they can simulate Concecrate wep, by using something that is triggered by "gUARDS"

Either you don't understand, or don't want to for some reason. cough cough

Did you try the other side of your theory? Try to duplicate what they are doing and see if that is what is really going on? Seems it will just remain a theory until that is done as well. gUARDS is prolly just a macro they have set. Someone once said that you could say something else instead of the spell casting words. Don't know it that's true, but anything's possible I guess. I tried with my chiv/archer and couldn't get it to work, but I also didn't try on UO Assist either.

There are so many things WRONG with pvp/armor, etc., etc. that it can be hard to figure out what is really going on. Instead of fixing things or making things right, they put patch on top of patch instead of really 'fixing' anything.

Thank you, That is what I was trying to say without coming right out and saying it, I know its not a game bug and I was under the impression these other people would know it wont work for me or you, It's something they're running. There I said it.

Sweet. I can now become an uber pvp'er simply by yelling "gUARDS". Wow, and this is different from any other day at Yew gate how?

You sure he was not simply wearing something like a quiver that modifies the damage type?

[/ QUOTE ] not sure about this, but I think does have alot to do with why players get flagged, and cant get back in a house, even if they havent attacked first or even at all.
