HLA

Is it better to have HLA on your Whirlwind/Mass monster destroying weapon, OR on your Leafblade/Single boss monster weapon?

If you could only have one... or, would you sacrafice something else to get it on both?

Deciding between Fencing+UBWS Whirlwind weap, or Macing/Swords + UBWS Leafblade (current config). Finding it hard to get HLA on both.

Yes.

But for my mass monster murder weapon, I choose hit area, hit mana leech, hit stamina leech and damage increase. If I weren't a fencer, then I'd put in SSI, but I am, so I have a kama and would choose hit lower attack.

For a peerless-slayer I have a leafblade with hit lower attack, swing speed, damage increase, hit mana leech and hit stamina leech. For my slayer version, I exchange hit lower attack with the slayer type, but I find that in the long fights, the hit lower attack weapon works out better.

Big boss wepon as you want him to miss when he hits you.

I replace it with hit area if im using wirlwind wepons.

You really don't wan't a boss to hit you.
Hitting more heals more, but he never hits you in the first place, you don't need to heal.
With bunches, one whirlwind will basically fully heal you, so you'll want to hit more. Unless it's a mob of heavy hitters, then you'll want them to miss more.

And for spell casters HLA is largely useless because they're not really hitting you to begin with.
Unless it's Slasher where he can kill you with both hits and spells, then you're screwed

I don't think I've ever used UBWS on any setup ever.

Otherwise I agree with what everyone else said HLA on the boss wep.

LG, the UBWS is so I can use a higher damaging whirlwind weapon

Yeah I know the Fencing WW weapon has very low base, weren't knocking it, I just haven't used it. I've been mainly using Macing & Swords for a long time.
