I peeked on TC1 and there are two new craftables in the Tinker menu. One is "hitching post (used)", which I gather has no uses left on it, and another is hitching rope, which I'm guessing recharges the post.

I'm not sure if the rope's for the collectable version, but it seems to me that the tinkered post and rope would work together.

To craft the hitching post requires 2 hitching ropes, a wooden steed, 50 ingots, and one unknown item. 90 tinker skill (70% success at GM)

To craft the hitching rope requires 1 rope and 1 Resolve's bridal. 60 tinker and 15 animal lore to craft.

I'm not sure if the rope's for the collectable version, but it seems to me that the tinkered post and rope would work together.

The existence of the crafted post surprises me, but looking back on other things (the cannon for a start!), I'd not be surprised if you needed a crafter to recharge the gift version as well.

And that is why we kept our Tinker {crafter} human. That "Jack of all Trades" comes in handy sometimes.

You mean a Phillips Steed maybe? You mean saving the 20 of those that I have may actually do something other than annoy my neighbors that walk past? Cool!

I want to make a quick note.

On origin it now says Hitching Post (Replica), not Hitching Post (used).

I can confirm it does require animal pheremone and 2 hitching ropes.

I made one hitching rope tonight, successfully (don't have enough other ropes at the moment, turned them all in spring cleaning .....

Hitching rope is a slightly off hue of a normal rope. See image below.

The hitching rope has been on the tinker tool since the last publish. I've been shopping all week trying to find rope and a bridle!

Hit up most people that enjoy fishing for the ropes. I head to Tokuno for krakens and rope.

I got Glorious, 20k in gold, and 1 rope in 3-4hrs I think. Killed krakens over and over and over.

Shame has krakens as well, at least you get arty drops there. Days like this I miss Tokuno Drops!

you get the pheromones as loot from a fire rabbit it spawns at Mount Sho on Isamu-Jima
