How is damage determined for weapon spell effects?

Are they cast as if they had GM eval? Or is there some sort of effect from your own skills?

Spell base damage is pretty low, it would be useless for a 50% chance to hit a 70 resist with a 10 damage lightning bolt >.>

The main thing to remember is hit spell is extra damage. Thats just great in a game of caps and limits. But the hit spell is ALWAYS calculated as if you had 80 eval int. Even a mage with gm or 120 eval still hit spell is calculated as 80 eval.

Caped damage plus hit spell even if its only 2 more, is more damage than just capped damage! In PvP it wil turn the tide since its a random factor when it hits at the right time. Even in a fair duel.

Is there a damage cap?

or is the cap just having 100% increase, 120 tactics 120 anat 100%perfection momentum strike w/e =p

I havnt played a warrior in years but ive seen screenshots of people doing 200+ damage to doom bosses, without slayer weapons. I know that with EoO which isnt usable in pvp, but those people must still do crazy damage in pvp right?

Most moves are capped at 35 in PvP so it is not a one hit damage per say...it is the combination of specials and spell weapon specials that can do an opponent in.

Me personally I've never been a big fan of hit spell properties on weapons because I always use to get a slight delay...now not so sure.

Think of it like this. Lets say you have 50 hit lightning on your wep, and your lightning does a flat 10 dmg every time.

Say the fight lasts 10 minutes, with a max speed wep you swing 480. Assuming you have the same skill level, same amount of HCI as your opponent does DCI, the numbers say you will hit them 240 times. Out of those 240 hits your lightning hits 1/2 of the time. 120 hits X 10 extra damage is 1200 extra points in damage that you wouldn't have otherwise had.

Hit spell is huge in PvP.

Dont forget interrupts! Beating down a mage is much easier when your hit fireball or hit magic arrow follows up to interrupt their spell-casting. As far as damage output goes, it can mean the difference between simply red-lining your opponent or delivering a death-blow! :)

Yeah good simply forgotten point. While I never liked the delay I used to receive when using said weapons, they are very handy versus mages. I personally like my 50% lightning, 50 HLD, 46 stamina leech and 50 DI kryss.
