Hit Life Leech - not working?

Has anyone else noticed any issues with Hit Life Leech on weapons?

I tested these out earlier today... On a katana that has a 56% HLL properties, and on a halberd that had 93% HLL properties.

Stratics says:
------------
Hit Life Leech
Intensity Range: 2 - 50
Found On: Weapons

A weapon with Hit Life Leech will have a percentage chance on each hit to convert 30% of the damage inflicted on the target into hit points for the wielder.

Meaning that if you hit your target for 50 damage, you have a chance of healing 15 hit points yourself
--------------

That is much different than what is reported on UOguide.com which says:
--------------
Amount of Hit Points leeched

On every successful hit you will leech 0 to X percent health of (Damage done * 0.4) - X being the Hit Life Leech value on your weapon
---------------

Yet, I find neither of those two to be true. Has anyone else tested this recently? I'm beginning to think HLL is broke. ?

Which stratics page did you find the information on? If you found it with a search engine, it's an obselete page.

The uoguide info is closer to being correct (it should be 0.3, not 0.4, on the uoguide entry - it's hit mana leech that is 0.4), and last I heard we'd updated the stratics page with the same info a couple years back. You shouldn't be seeing that page with the old info.

IF you do 20 points of damage, the maximum you could leach with a 50% displayed amount (the intensity is still 2-50%, just with an additional modifier factoring in weapon speed after adding in any SSI property), is 20 * 0.5 * 0.3 = THREE whopping points of life leech - and will more often be 0-2 points. This can be mistaken as just your normal regeneration, at that level. HLL isn't broke, just nerfed for normal combat and most PvP.

Now, try a weapon with 50% life leech, with a non-super slayer property, and the armor ignore special move. Say, an earth elemental slayer. get beat up, then equip the weapon and pop the ele with armor ignore. I'm sure you'll see a lot more life leech that way, then trying to hit someone in all-70s armor in PvP, or a greater dragon using a non-slayer weapon.
