I was trying to make broadswords with 100 HML or HLL and got a few with 50 Hit Mana Drain and Hit Fatigue. I kept these. Are either of these mods useful? I've never used a weapon with either mod before. What effects do they create?
I have used powerful + vampiric lately quite a few times in batches of 20 weapons. Never had an unsuccesful run, usually both variants.BTW, I went through 10 copper runic hammers and didn't get a single broadsword with 100 HML or HLL using non-powerful with vampiric. Is this normal?
It used to be possible back in the days of the wraith form thrower, if you had been slow he would reach 0 mana and start fizzling spells. But always near the end of the fight, he has a huge mana pool that isnt easily depleted.Ok thanks for the inputs. I'll try them out. I wonder if the hit mana drain can get Slasher to 0 mana and mitigate his rock fall attack.
Pretty sure it wasn't. Never ran out of mana in any fight I've been in and I've solo'd it a lot.It used to be possible back in the days of the wraith form thrower, if you had been slow he would reach 0 mana and start fizzling spells. Mana drain does seem to drain mana from the mana pool your target has, but it doesnt add to your own mana.I know hit mana leech doesn't actually leech mana from your target...does mana drain actually drain mana? I have tested hit fatigue...it does seems to drop stamina.
My thrower back then was a bit slower then the others. I do remember him running out of mana , ofc cannot proof that anymore. Just wanted to say, slasher has tons of mana and running him out of mana will take very long. But you are right, rock fall is probably not mana based, because it is randomly triggered by any incoming damage .Pretty sure it wasn't. Never ran out of mana in any fight I've been in and I've solo'd it a lot.
Also the rock fall isn't based on mana it is a counter attack.
I just double checked. Yes, was using powerful + vampiric, but dont know if its needed.Do I need copper tunics with powerful? I was using non-powerful as I was trying to avoid unwanted mods.
Then that was my problem. Time to restock on copper hammers and try it again.I think you need to use powerful. I've never gone more than 3 or 4 hammers without a 100 HLL or HML that way.
You need powerful to get 140 HML (154 intensity). Without powerful you can get up to 120 HML (132 intensity).Do I need copper tunics with powerful? I was using non-powerful as I was trying to avoid unwanted mods.
Dreadhorn is one of monsters where I prefer to use Hit Mana Drain (or Wraith Form)... especially if my char hasn't Healing skill.Recently did a few dreadhorns.
120% of 81 = 96, so you're saying that without powerful getting a 100 HM or HLL broadsword not possible. You need powerful to get 140 HML (154 intensity). Without powerful you can get up to 120 HML (132 intensity).
That is what I experienced. I ended up using a bronze runic hammer without powerful and got a 100 HLL weapon very quickly.120% of 81 = 96, so you're saying that without powerful getting a 100 HM or HLL broadsword not possible.
it did for me....that is why I go with copper....takes a few more attempts but gives me a clean 100 HML or HLL and 40 DIDid the bronze hammer also give you other mods every time too?
Yes, it happened to give me 100 HLL and a lesser amount of HML. Maybe RNG worked in my favor, but it took me less than one Bronze hammer to get this base weapon.Did the bronze hammer also give you other mods every time too?
