Here is my question.
I started to tame them yesterday.
I was taming in Hiryu Forest in Totoko Island north of the Isamu whatever moongate. There are only three spawns in this area, going too far north you will start seeing wolves, far south u get into this spider area. The 3 hiryu spawn rather slow and they spawn in this entire forest, so I don't know how you guys can tame so fast.
Is there anywhere else that has more spawns?
Using this Map (this area is west and south of the Sleeping Dragon Champion Spawn)
http://uo.stratics.com/database/view.php?db_content=atlas&id=1433
Identify the Building and the Ruins south and west of the Building.
These identify the East Edge of my route.
See the Grassy Coast line on the west. That is the Western Edge of my route.
See the mtn/rock on the north (goes to the Coast with a 1 tile walk way. That is the Northern Edge of the Route.
See the Ruin on the south west side. That is the south edge of my route.
Start at the tree near the mtn, coast on the north.
Run south and west along the tree line, looking for the Hiryu that spawns here.
As you approach the Ruin, you will see in the RADAR what is kind of maybe a path to cut south and east to south of the Ruin. Take that path and go south and a few squares east of the Ruin. Now head back north.
Go north about 3 or 4 squares north of the ruin, then head back through the trees (west).
Head north along the Tree line to the starting point.
In short the Hiryu will always spawn along that route. On occasion it may spawn a bit east in the trees, but you should see the name show up as your running. I just pull it back to the coast/grassy area.
Now when I do find one I want to tame, I get it to follow me and my GD on up north along the coast past the Starting point. As you go north, you will notice there is a MTN that provides a rather nice doughnut shaped (The MTN is the center) walk way. I use the GD to beat the Hiryu to near death (or alternatively use peacemaking). Run far enough away to open a gate to Serpents Hold Stables and stable the GD.
I DO NOT get on my Poof Mount as I have been told the Hiryu is given a movement bonus vs Mounted people.
I then proceed to Lead Tame it.
Anything I do not want I Kill, loot and skin.
