High Seas Angling Challenge!

Join us as we kick off a monthly challenge for the angling crowd here on Legends. Much like the "catch of the week" done on other shards we will be doing our very own! Each month we shall issue a different species to be caught as the biggest fish turned in for the month. We hope by having an entire month to seek out and land the designated species we'll attract not only more entrants but larger specimens as well!
This months species with be the "Blue Marlin". Caught in deep waters around the realm this species is also mountable. The heaviest fish labeled with this months date shall be hung in the shard reward hall along with a take home trophy for the winning angler!
The turn in location will be the High Seas Angling Club located along the docks at the Fish Market. Turn in date is March 31st, 2011 at 9pm EST. Take to the seas Legends and lets see what ya got!

Congratulations go out to Vishnu, named the March Champion of the High Seas Angling Challenge! Along with winning the month's title he was also given the opportunity to name this months catch. Yellowtail Barracuda be on the menu this month with weighins taking place on April 30th at 9pm EST at the seamarket! Good luck anglers may you all answer the challenge!

Congratulations to our April winner Blastona with a winning catch of 198 stones! Our champions choice for the month of May the elusive "Stone Crab!" Weighins will take place on May 31st at 9pm at the Seamarket. Gate sto be provided from Luna.

Congratulations to Dead Prez! On his winning catch of 108 stones in this months High Seas Angling Challenge! We had a close bout this month with the winner coming in as the last entry and besting the field by one lowly stone!

This months selection is the Giant Samurai Fish! Best of Luck and May the best angler win!

Congratulations to our June angling champion Otis Redding with his winng catch of 112 stones! This months challenge is the Fairy Salmon! Weighins to be held on Sunday July 31st at 9pm EST at the Trammel Seamarket! Best of Luck and Happy Fishing!

Congratulations to Otis Redding, winner of the July High Seas Fishing Challenge! With a whopping catch of 191 stones to best the field . His winning catch was mounted on the wall in the shard reward hall. August’s fish of choice is the Autumn Dragonfish! Wieghins will be on Wednesday August 31st, 2011 9pm EST @trammel seamarket!

What a month for the high seas angling challenge! We had a first this month as Otis Redding (July's Champion) and Starbuck came to the weighins on the final day of July with fish of the same weight! 188 stone Autumn Dragonfish!

After much thought a "fish off" was implemented with both anglers setting out on the seas for an hours time to return with the largest regular big fish they could muster. While the Anglers rushed to the challenge mischief ensued along the seamarket docks as Abominable Sea Creatures, krakens, Leviathans, and other tangled seaweeds of the high seas rose from the depths spreading havoc and death amongst the spectators!

Congratulations to Starbuck on winning the fish off in grand fashion landing a 189 stone "big fish" to take the months challenge! Thier catch is proudly displayed at the shard reward hall. Naming this months prey Starbuck let it be known under the champions provision that Septembers game shall be the elusive Blue Lobster!

Also added this month to aid those who cannot attend the weighins themselves is an early weighin box on the steps of the Shard Reward Hall!

Congratulations to Otis Redding, returning to prominence this past month in the High Seas Angling Challenge! Besting the field with his winning Blue Lobster weighing 123 stones he was named Septembers champ! This months selection is the Zombie Fish found in Gravewater Lake (Correct me if Wrong there!)

Was out this weekend and unable to make the December Fish weighins, We will reschedule the event for Monday January 2nd at 9pm EST at the Trammel Seamarket. The months catch was Lava fish with the best combined weight of three fish being named the champ. See you all tommorrow!

Lava fish skunked us in December, with no clear winning entry I have chosen January'@ fish to be the regular ol school "big fish" in either blue or green. Biggest fish caught during the month will be named the winner, let's see those 200 stone whoppers! Weighins will be 1/31 @ 9pm at the trammel seamarket.

Congratulations to Mr. Pickles! Besting the field to claim victory in January's High Seas Angling Challenge! With a great catch at 158 stone he was a good 20 stones ahead of his closest competition. Awarded with a citation for his catch, his choice for this months fish is the Giant Samurai Fish!

We were also treated a great new game as Miko discovered something quite in the realm of seafaring fun this month. Something we'll be running this month as well as competitors teamed up after weighins to play "Fish in a Barrel." We placed anglers into two teams of three and placed aquariums (which still reside with fish in the aquarium for public care....) out and raced to put 4 of a ceratin species into the tank. The result was mad net tossing fun with the seamarket docks covered in aquarium fish and bones soon alike. Good Luck!
