Hey guys is this a pre patch shield or can this be made right now?

I'm just wondering bc someone is saying that this shield can not be made anymore and it's the nuts? Also that it's worth 500 mill?

Yes it's a pre-patch shield, yes it's quite good. IMO not worth 500m, but 150-200m isn't an unfair price for it.

its a nice shield. just keep in mind what a player is going to be doing with this. its a "second best" option for a parry mage. first choice would be soul-charge on shield with all eaters on armor. usually youd do this to save gold on armor pieces, but someone could buy it for a suit with extremely high stat, while sacrificing the soul-charge property. id value it closer to 150m but you have to find a very specific buyer.

the eater on top of the other mods. can reforge for all the mods on shields now except the eater. can get eaters on shields.. but not with all those mods also.

What I'm worried about is its missing soul charge. Do u think that's needed or barely makes a difference?

Honestly, even Eaters are relatively useless. Soul Charge and Eaters are nice "luxuries" and so so easy to get, therefore you might as well.

The difference they make in the grand scheme of things is really negligible' particularly on a mage. If you are looking to make a god like suit of course its nice, but it would not stop me playing at all.

The only time eaters are more than slightly useful are in pure mage duels without pots, which would immediately beg the question, why are you dueling pure mage with Eaters?
Soul charge may be beneficial on chars with mana issues? Never noticed it do much.

The difference between a great mage and a **** mage is the player, not soul charge.

i really like eaters for pvm, for pvp yes its a nice luxury, but when your getting hit in heavy pvm (in my case mostly events) for 60 to 100 damage, sometimes as high as 120 damage, the eater is really nice and can be the difference of dying, or getting damage in on shards with multiple bosses.

if your sacrificing primary stats for eaters, your doing it wrong.

I had a 250 offer on the shield but I think since is a true rare and it's way playable overall it's better to use it or hold it. But hey I love this stuff thx for all in insite all of this brings the best roleaying exspences ever!
