Herald announce/greet not working?

Ok, I spent like an hour going through ones to find one with matching clothes and a name I liked... all that time they would not shutup... Now that I have one I want I have it set to greet and have it stopped, but it is not doing anything? Do they bug? Please don't tell me I have to spend another hour finding one I like.

I have no clue what is going on but its working and I didn't touch it... Odd.. anyway...
