(Please post any that you'd like to share. Hopefully we will have some new faces and collectors with us)

If you need to transfer gold from your bank TO your vendor. Price a bod in a bod book and place the bod book on your vendor -not for sale-. The owner of the vendor can BUY the bod inside the book and thus giving your vendors funds without all the trips from the bank. :)

Looking through vendors... I have this warning please be careful with "Magic" items on vendors as they can get reverted to normal named items.

Placing your ICQ# on your vendor (book or w/e) is nice for potential buyers if they have questions regarding an item.

Here's a couple warnings...

Remember to check before you buy a necro reg that they are indeed the true ones and not the fake ones.

Also be aware I've seen several wreaths for sale and a snowman that have been metallic dyed and are being sold as super rares. Snowman and wreaths can be dyed with regular clothing tubs (including the metallic ones).

If you see something you do not recognize, please take the time to check, post or ask folks in the community. Might save you a headache and some gold.

Would you mind going into detail on this on a little? Or have a link that kinda shows the difference? I have found myself wondering which are the true ones and which aren't. I purchased an Eye of Newt not too long ago, was a smaller graphic on the vendor than what it was when it hit my pack. Almost the size of a lucky coin with a small dot looking deal in the center.

Sure, I'll see if I can get a comparison graphic up tomorrow.

In the meantime... hopefully this will help

The false Eye of Newt is a mirror image of a lucky coin (the real eye of newt is gold, but more the shade of gold coins)
The false Bloodspawn is dark brown same image/hue as cocoa pulp. (the real one is a lighter brown)
There are two false pig irons - purple and black
Grey Pumice (same as original) was created with the exploit that made the above items. Colored pumice was from a completely different bug involving moonstones.

There were also many other items made at the same time. If any item you are unfamiliar with has the same graphic/hue as a stackable item than it is most likely from this bug. Some of the more well known items are the orange feathers, purple feathers, green arrows and red birds (petals, petals, thorns and leaves originally).

Hope that helps keep folks safe

Wow...

Thanks, I knew there was an issue with them, but never realized the severity of it until now. Sheshhhh rather difficult to keep up with all of it. Will have to investigate if I have a true set or not now.

If you want to shoot me an image or have me pop in game on your home shard, I can tell you if any of yours are the false ones and I'd be happy to show you the false ones on Atlantic. . Just hit me up on ICQ. 465-972-004 The only one that is absolutely indistinguishable is the pumice. The false looks 100% identical, but thankfully the item they used was slightly difficult to obtain unlike the others.

Ouch. I'm sorry that it happened to you. I knew I saw several on different vendors so thought I'd mention it. It really is rotten that it can be done by anyone, even untrained. It can also be reverted when equipped, in a trade window or locked down in a home. These are one of those type rares you have to sort of display privately

Just trying to put it out there and not trying to offend anyone who has made any accusations but
if the above posts about metallic wreath dying were referring to a tangle-hued wreath on my vendor,
I would just like to clarify that it is indeed a tangle wreath. I had recently found it at a Great Lakes IDOC
and the hue is 1159. I asked Nails Warstein to identify the hue # using Pinco and the wreath hue did
match the hue of a tangle.

That's fine, Bon Iver. :) There was a purple yellow one briefly on another vendor as well and I saw a few metallic ones on Atlantic a couple weeks ago. I have no idea if the tangle hue can be reproduced or not (and I don't have the time to test that). Probably easiest way for someone to test is to try and dye cut cloth to see if they can match the color. I just put the warning up as I saw more than just yours at one point. I just point out the things to watch out for, it'll be up to buyers to do a bit of digging to verify the items they buy. If the color of tangle can't be reproduced than I hope yours sells quickly and without any hassle!

Alright, let's see if this helps. The ones on the right are are what the real eye of newt and bloodspawn look like. The pumice look identical with same weight.
These are only a FEW Of the false items created... I've included a few others I have seen recently to also help. I had graphics that had all the naughty items at one point, I'll see if I can find them after I get back in town.

Be safe folks.

1. Roll of String
2. Pumice
3. Bloodspawn
4. Flask
5. Pig Iron
6. Winch
7. Empty Vial
8. Arrow Shafts
9. Eye of Newt.
