Help Poisoning!

I need some assistance on poisoning gaining and training please... Last night I decided to add poisoning to a character. I found a Theif Guildmaster in both jhelom and New haven but they only trained me up to 24.1 skill. I went ahead and began training poisoning using lesser poisons on fish steaks. this seemd to work until I ht 25.0 skill. Now its stuck, I went through over 300 more poisoning attempts without a single gain?

I know I have the skill available as this is a new character (just training to soulstone and move). The skill is set to up, but it just wont move up?

Anyone know wehre I can train to a higher level? or what I need to do to get skill gain? I tried server line jumping and it didnt help eiteher, only thing I havent tried which I will do today when I get home is to die and res.

last time that I did poisoning (2 days ago) I poisoned the same fish steak from 0 to 60 skill with lesser poison...

Sure I will assist. PM me if you want a good macro for this. I don't believe in unattended macroing so not gonna condone that. Anyways on to the information:

* 0-30: Train from npc (thief guildmaster)
* 30-45: Lesser poison
* 45-65: Poison
* 65-100: Greater poison
* 90-100: Deadly poison

Just remember that if you are NOT an alchemist, then you will have to set aside funds for leveling it up. Check your shard to get an idea of prices.

Another note is around the poison level, for every KEG you will get around 1.5 points in gains. The results WILL vary, that is just an approximate estimate.

To my understandings and readings, it is one of the SLOWER skills in the game to gain up in. Don't get discouraged though, the results are well worth the effort.

Another side tip is to have LESS than 300 skill points when you work on poisoning. Hope that helps.

Sorry, also as a last tid bit, not every thief guildmaster or associate that you can train poisoning on will start you at the same skill. NPC's will differ skill wise. Look around for one that will train you as close to 30 as you can get.

*it's been a while since I was that low in poisoning, so can't say if the NPC tactic will work still or not. They might still start you at 24.9 or so.*
