I would assume he doesn’t want the sash for the EM name and is just looking for clothing items in hue 1282. Thus the reason they must be unblessed, you can’t cut up blessed clothing.

Even if I convert gargoyles, 'blessed' won't disappear.

Highly unlikely.

I have personally never tried to use a salvage bag on a blessed clothing item, but I assume that wouldn’t work either. You know what they say about assuming, it will cost you less than 3k to give it a shot.
