Ello all, my name is Cerebus, and I use to play few years ago. I was looking around and saw that there has been a couple new expansions since Ive left and just wondering if they were any good. The High Seas one looks very interesting to me, I use to love fishing and treasure hunting. And feedback on this?

Also, I was wondering if there may be any members of an old guild named Royal Knights of Brittania (RKB) hanging around? I would love to be able to get in touch with some of my old guild mates. At any rate, be well all.

High Seas is disappointing to a degree but still a lot of fun.

Stygian Abyss is quite fun.

There's Seers of a sort, but they are paid and are called Event Moderators.

There's a Global Chat system now. There's

It's a fun time overall, just lots to get used to.

Is RKB the same thing, perchance, as RKV or RKR?

Yes, we use to have a Fel faction named RKR.

And I may be looking at loading up UO again for a short time, these expansions seems interesting.

If they do what they said, back in may in a interview in Oct High Seas and the Abyss will be free. you won't get the bonuses (house lock down or bank space),they said they wanted everyone on the same page at the start of the 14th yr

Welcome Cerebus,

In answer to your question the RKB or RKR as it was formerly known is still on GL's. We are now the Royal Knights of Virtue... the RKV.

We have our own banner and still live and have homes to the South and West of Wrong.

If you want more information about things feel free to PM me and I'll give you contact information.

Good to hear from you. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.

Sincerely yours,

Malag-aste Hla-ate, Knight of Lore of the Royal Knights of Virtue (RKV)

Thanks for the replies all. Malag, are they are any of the former members from say 4-5 years ago still around. Some of names were Ariakas, Elijah, Odin....uhh, hell, I cant even remember that far back now. LOL. I am seriously looking at playing again lightly, I miss the openness of UO, the fishing, treasure hunting, dungeon crawling, and just doing whatever the hell I felt like. Maybe I will see some of you in game soon.

If you want to meet with Ari I'd suggest Tuesday night at the EM Event. He almost always shows up for that. So he should be there.

Look forward to seeing you.

Well, I fired up my old account. I miss fishing and treasure hunting. So, is UOAM still running? What about all the old fishing tools there use to be, Rudder I think was one of them. And UO Loop? Kind of fun seeing all my old stuff again. heh

UOAM has been supplanted by UO Cartographer. Look on U-Hall for a long thread. Unfortunately, UO:C never got out of "beta" stage but it's still a very good, well-done, useful utility.

UO Loop was never legal to use, to my knowledge, certainly has not been so for years. (Though I have read that something similar was part of the original version of UO Assist.)

Never heard about Rudder.

UO Assist still works with the Classic Client, I am informed that many of its functions are resident in the Enhanced Client now as well.

Lots of new fishing and t-map content. (For the former look into a "booster," which means mini-expansion, called "High Seas.") T-Map locations are, supposedly, "random" now, not pre-set locations like before, and there are t-maps in all Facets. The old map runebooks, though, are still considered useful as many of the "random" locations are comparatively nearby the old ones, at least as far as the Trammel and Felucca Facets are concerned.

UO Rudder works well still. I think it's legal *grins.*

The Fishing Council of Britannia (FCB) is still alive and fishing. We'd be happy to help you (or any young fisherperson) learn the new ways.
