i guess i don't understand why logging in to or recalling to yew in a battle would bump you to a different city, but exiting heartwood won't

that just doesn't make much sense.

but, thanks anyway.

It's probably because transportation from Heartwood to UO is a different system then recalling/gating. Thus they just didn't think about it.

I don't understand why recalling to west brit bounces you to jhelom when the invasion is in east brit. I can mark a rune north of east brit that is closer than my rune to west brit and not get bounced.

Some things in UO will never make any sense.
