This is an experiment. I recently got a Heartwood Runic Kit, after many many hours and many many boards. Last one I got, I did the same thing. I asked the crafting community to pick what I should make, and then I posted the results. Last one got a lot of "lol's" and "wtf's" Because the results were epic crap.

So here we go.
15 Heartwood charges to burn, what should I make?

1x Ash Crossbow

Question yourself: what kind of bow do you need most?
If its for money: sell the kit. The chances that you will get more gold out of the bows are slim.

I know I'm not going to get anything out of the kit, that's the whole point. If I craft a selection of bows as per this community, and then post the crappy results, maybe the devs could use that information, and realize that spending infinite hours and infinite boards crafting infinite bows to get zero rewards is a flawed system and needs tweaking.

This isn't for me, I don't need the kit or the gold, I just wanted to have some fun.

Make a crossbow with ash wood? I get the best results with ash wood but all in all it isn't worth my time to sit and make bows in Heartwood. I have never gotten anything beyond an ash runic and let's face it...the bows are crap lol
You make a great point in it being a flawed system and not only is it flawed...it's BORING! I used to spend days and days trying for a runic and got nothing. No more of that nonsense!

My vote is crossbows, regular wood, enhance up using special wood.
Never know might actually get a keeper.

Ok I'll make some ash x-bows, and some regular, and then enhance accordingly. Probably make some regular bows and some magical shortbows, unless anyone has a better idea? Buring it this weekend, so post away.

I suppose this Heartwoodkit experiment is through....but could you make a lightweight shortbow with ash if you are still at it??
