Headless Miners and the ugly golden 1337 mining implements

Having killed 7,100 headless miners since December in my mad, hopeless quest for another of those ugly golden mining implements and not getting any, I have considered it wise to stop by here and question if anyone knows if they are still dropping, before I set off to kill another 7,000 headless miners.

To get this one, I killed almost 9,000 miners back in 2013, but I also got a golden shovel at around the 5,600 kill mark (which was then gifted to another Legends player back in 2013 as a token of appreciation).
@Kyronix: Could you check if they weren't turned off when the new loot tables were pushed out to prodo, pretty pretty please with sugar on top?
I just need to know if they still drop to continue with this mad quest.
For me, it is as the Impossible Dream song goes: This is my quest, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far!

Some time ago I did this for a while and after maybe 1k I got a pickaxe. I stopped for some time and then decided to try for a shovel - I called every day for some months but drops = zilch. Around 6 months ago I gave up, I too was wondering if they do still drop.

You kill roughly 100 per hour when there, so that many took me 71 hours to do.
During weekends I spend at least 5 hours down there. I might have been there way longer during my days off late December, but I took a new char chivalry from 0 to 120 and now I am training spellweaving to 120 there.
It is a good training spot for me, as train and feed my obsession at the same time.

So Friday night I resume watching this very strange phenomena where headless miners start dying for no reason whatsoever when I get to their area. It is truly strange and baffling.
I must study it further.

Thank you for the confirmation.
It may take 10 kills, it may take 500,000 kills, but I will get the full set.
The headless miners shall have no peace at Legends till I accomplish that... and probably after too because killing them is just too fun to not drop there for an hour at least once every two months. >.>

Other than it having 1337 uses and the ugly gold color no.

they are are L33T-sauce, they dont need any other attributes other then their L33T-ness

Has anyone tried to mine using one? Now that would be a cool Easter egg if when digging with your 1337 shovel it spawned some 1337 monster with some 1337 loot!

Fine, fine. I will extremely carefully retrieve it to my battle miner and copy her to TC this weekend.
Then even more carefully lock my pickaxe back down.

If you search for "1337 pickaxe" there have been lots for sale. Shovel and pickaxe. Some even sold for as little as 10m!
