Have Plunder Beacons Been Turned Off?

I haven't been able to find any plunder beacons this evening. There seem to be some small, scattered groups of water elementals and sea serpents in a few places that don't respawn once they are killed off. However, no sign of plunder beacons. This is on Sonoma. Anyone else noticing this too?

Never mind. Found one. Getting really irritated with tracking working so sporadically.

Me and my husband have been killing them the last four hours at Tokuno
we went south from the Zento docks and crossed the server line...
we actually were fighting two of them at once (one north of us & one south, with a dread pirate to our east) lol
