Have Liches always been this fast?

I have been killing liches for fame gains on one of my characters. They ride a horse and still the liches keep up with him once targeted. I don't remember them being this fast did I just not notice this before? These are the normal Liches not the Para ones BTW.

Sometimes monsters get stuck in a super-hyped "where did he go" mode. Is it possible that this Liche had you targetted, then you recalled away and later returned?

Thats how they get locked into caffeine mode.

Did you notice that he didn't attack you when he got right next to you?
They have trouble locking onto you when they get in the "mood". But if you target them they have no trouble breaking out of their blank stares and getting back to business.

These are new spawning liches that was how I first noticed this. One would spawn right close to me and target me while I had an 2 EV's fighting another. I had to run to keep alive and these guys were right on my tail. Not as bad as a para but still pretty fast. If I stopped to heal they were right on me. I guess they have always been like this I just didn't notice it before.

That can happen if you happen to cross a server line.

lol, what a great way of describing it. I know exactly what you mean, has happened to me on several occasions with lots of different monsters, not just liches.

Has happened when crossing server lines like connor said, but also happens for some other reason I haven't figured out. They are kinda like revenants where no matter how fast you run, they are always on your tail
