Has personal bless deeds always done this?

I went to use my personal bless deed on an item and by mistake targeted a piece of clothing that was already blessed. It gave me the message that the item was now blessed but it doesn't say "item blessed for so and so" and it doesn't give me the option to double click it and remove the bless deed. Anyone know a way I can get my personal bless deed back or is it gone?

Yeah def whoops..But someone just told me they never used to do that. If you had tried to use it on an item that was already blessed it would say this item is already blessed.. It didn't do that, instead it ate my personal bless deed and the item doesn't even show up as if I had used it on the item.

Sounds like you found a bug there, because I remember the "already blessed" message too.

Shame of this is, I really doubt a GM would do anything about it. You would probably get the "Lost/Stolen" canned response, or if you're really lucky, a knowledge base link response that has nothing whatsoever to do with the problem at hand.

I always thought they should re-do the personal bless deeds for everyone sometime.....

After all it's been many many years since we got one..... and I don't know about anyone else but a vast majority of my characters never got one.

The few that did get them still have them... most of them. And I believe I have some that belong to other people because i bought items with the bless deed on them..... sadly I can't return them. And who really knows if those folk even still play?

You don't dbl click it to remove the personal bless deed. Take the item off and select it with the left button and it pops up a selection to unbless item in the classic client. If you are in the new client then right mouse click and select unbless item.

I believe in classic client you have to hold down shift then left click. Unless you have the option selected for single click.


If not work, then could just for the heck of it call a GM, but don't say the word "lost." Say you need help removing a personal bless deed from an item.

I know how to unbless something but problem is the item doesn't even say item blessed for "name". It actually looks like I never even used my personal bless deed on it even tho I know for sure I did. I paged a GM 3 times and it looks like I'm SOL. So if you have a personal bless deed please be careful using it and don't hit another blessed item by accident or it will poof.

While it may not say bless for "X" was hoping that it might still be on it and appear under the context menu for unbless. You did try to open the context menu as if going to unbless it though, right?

Yeah I did but I don't even get the gump that says unbless item. Single left click does nothing for me. It sucks because I had that thing forever but hope this prevents someone else from losing their deed.

Well, guess all you can do now is keep trying to page using different wording, avoiding words like lost, vanished, disappeared, until they threaten to suspend you for paging or get a real response.

not sure this will all fit into that little box they provide, but you might try quoting the Knowledge Base to them, stating that it did not function as described:

To apply a Personal Bless, double-click your Personal Bless Deed. You will be given a warning window. Read that warning carefully and press the OK button. Target the item you wish to personally bless. The item description now shows the item as being blessed for you. Items that are not allowed to be blessed, such as containers, stackable items, or items that are already blessed, will be met with an error stating so.
