I saw three korpre go *poof* last night and turn into one of the spider-things (forget its name)...

You also sometimes stumble upon void creatures killing other non-void creatures.

Some are aggressive and some are not.

I suppose we'll get an explanation for them soon, but for now I can't help thinking they seem like creatures caught in some sort of space-time rift. Not sure what caused the rift though or exactly what else it may be doing to Ter Mur.

Maybe someone more familiar with Ultima lore can give us their thoughts on these creatures and what's happening to the outer edges of Ter Mur where they seem to spawn.

Read somewhere that (I think) if the korpre kill another creature in its life... or a certain number of creatures... it will become the betballem, kill more > ballem > whatever it is after that.

if it survives for an extended period of time it does the wisp type spawn and down that route... and if they group they will become those spiders...

no source of reference for it but I think that's what it is.

The wisps version of the void daemons are not aggresive but they might be against bad karma players.

I seen the Korpre evolved after killing several animals/monsters.

It appears as though, if we leave the void creatures alone to do their "thing" (whatever that might be), eventually they evolve into one of the mini-boss monsters. I've encountered one of them - medium tough for a greater dragon but not a serious threat - in a remote location where not many players wander.
I have yet to find a mini-boss, I'm sure my Sampire could take it down though.

While exploring with untrained boura, I ran actross a Betballem.

Since I heard that it turns into Ballem from agressive acts, I decided to let it beat on my cows for a while. Sure enough, after a while (about 15 minutes, your results may vary), it turned into a Ballem.

Another hour afterward, I was running low on bandages and still had a Ballem beating on my boura.
