Miss Faine..... a few of us are stuck at Annie Moore... not sure what we're doing wrong... maybe you could let us know if its us or not.

We get her to the part where she says her father returned with a special egg and then nothing.. no words in her sentence lead to anything else.

I dont know who picked out Sanctuary for your little tree display. Its a nightmare to get to. Even with the tunnel to 3rd lvl to get in there you best have your sunday armor on! What were you both thinking????!!!! Only 4 of my characters were able to go get a tree. Its a mad house in there and with the tree not blessed...... not every character is a gungho pvp dressed to the 9s hard nosed fighter who can whip all the stuff in there.

And that's why the Egg part of the quest was easier. All part of the plan...

OK, to be serious for a moment. We tried to walk a line between challenging and too easy. We wanted at least one to have some element of challenge to it but give you the ability to complete it. We were hoping in some instances, people would team up because Origin is so great about that. Are there characters who can do it solo? Oh yes, most definitely. Are there other characters would need a person waiting at the end to rez them? Yep. I've been on both sides myself.

I'm going to put the rest of this under the "Spoiler" tag because I'm going to discuss both aspects of the Easter Event. In case anyone is still working on it and happens across this post.

With the tree being in Sanctuary, we really did try to walk the line a little finer. Is Sanctuary deadly? Yes, yes it is. However, the spot the tree is in is safe once you get to it. You still have to figure out which tree is the "right" one. But that's really just trial and error.

On balance, we put the egg in Destard since it is a dragon egg BUT put it in a location that, at least in Trammel, can be gated directly to and is as out of the line of fire as we could get it. Even on the Fel side of that, we tried to get a location that most people who play in Fel would be able to run to quickly and deal with when they got there. Plus, we added the option that if you talked to the Mother Dragon, she would tell you which egg to click on. We also made sure there was only ONE egg that color.

Why didn't we put the tree somewhere easier to get and the egg somewhere harder? Honestly? Because the places we put them made sense to us. They didn't appear to be out of place or just "dropped" there with no good reason. We could come up with a story to back up our decisions. To me, Dragon Egg just said Destard. Initially, that was going to be the more challenging. The Bonsai Tree giver seemed appropriate in Sanctuary as it gave us the challenge we were looking for but fit into the overall look of the area. And Lord knows, Origin's Easter Bunny is about as confused as you can get.

Anyway, yes, we are evil. Yes, we've been around Mesanna too long who has taught us well. *grins*

But, know that we really did try to give some mix of easy and challenging but not totally impossible. We looked for a compromise between plopping it down in Luna vs. sticking it next to Slasher. Next time we'll do something different and see how that works. Meantime, know, that even at our most diabolical, we do TRY to give everyone a fighting chance.
