Haochi's Pigments Need a Tweek

I can't even dye my Conjurer's Garb :sad4:. But I can dye the Ranger's Cloak, that makes no sense. Make them like Natural Dyes or something. Earrings of Protection are another thing. It says you can only dye artifacts and enhanced magic items with this tub. How is the Conjurer's Garb or Earrings of Protection not a magic item? Or anything imbued for that matter seem like an "enhanced magic item." Change this please. :sad2:

/End Rant

I agree 100% .... I can NOT for the life of me understand how something I've imbued can NOT count as a "magical" item... or an item with "magical" properties... Silly isn't it?

They worked on imbued items on TC before...maybe you have to enhance with special materials before you can dye with them?

I think they should retroactively allow you to dye anything with the Tokuno Dyes as well; not just Haochi's.

I agree for sure, I'm really confused how a Ranger's Cloak is an artifact/enhanced magic item, but the Conjurer's Garb isn't. That robe covers 6/7 of my toons lol and I cant even make any of them that Pretty Pink :p.

Couple things...

Conjurers can't be dyed because it's considered a Talisman, not an artifact. Not really the Pigments fault.

Tok Dyes, and Haochi's pigments since they work the same dye two things, and only those two things
- Anything considered an "Artifact" (Doom Arties, Marties, Tarties, Replicas, ECT).
- Anything enhance or made with SPECIAL materials.

Imbuing, by design, doesn't make things dyable because it doesn't make the object an artifact, or does it change the metal it's made out of.

So you, and you know who you are, can blame the DEVS for all you want, but, in this case, things are actually working as designed.

As a tweek to make them dye anything... I don't know... I mean... we have plant pigments for that, don't we?

He said Conjurer's Garb, how can a robe be considered to be a talisman?

Also, many talismans can be dyed with pigment: totem of the void, for example.

I liked the above pigments a lot, especially the Light green and Pale Orange ones. The burnt brown and deep brown are also okay for some items.

I wish they'd bring all previously dropped pigments back as library reward replicas, along with Leurocian's Mempo and the 140 luck cloak. If they bring them back as rewards, they should make the bottles the pigments come in have either 1 use or 10 uses. There really isn't any need for a 50-use bottle of Invulnerability Blue or Luna White but they should still be hard to get in terms of resources required for obtaining them as a reward.

There is a reason I'm particularly fond of the light green color, and that is because it matches my elf's current skin hue perfectly on the totem of the void talisman he is wearing.

As you can see, it matches his skin tone perfectly. I would very much like to keep it that way, and if a better talisman comes along, I think I'll have to buy another bottle of pigment to match it up to his skin tone.

There are alot of shades you can't get with Plant Pigments. (i.e. Shadow Dancer Black is a couple shades darker than the corresponding black plant pigment.)

Mmm... it's barely noticable... and if anything, I think it's the other way around, the plant pigment seems to actually be... well, more black than shadow dancer black which seems to have a hint of dark purple in it. Either way, it's hard to tell them apart...

There are others that can't be made with Pigments. Invulnerability Blue? Dryad Green?

And when used on some pieces of armor (Samurai Hiro Sode for instance); the shade produced by the Leather Dye Tubs and Black Stains (which are identical) come out Grey. You need to dye it Shadow Dancer Black to make it match a Black Stained Shirt and Leather Tub Dyed Leggings. There is a visible difference.
