Hair Dye Doesn't Work?

I decided to dye one of my characters' hair. I first tried the regular hair dye from a provisioner... got the message "You decide not to dye your hair" when I hit "ok". I tried several times with no luck.

Next I tried using the NPC hair stylist... got the same message. Is it not possible to dye your hair any longer?

I hope not. I noticed something else was broken (minor of course). The peach fairy statue -- You used to be able to carry it in your backpack and click on it to make your character sparkle. Now you can only use it if it is locked down in the house. Small things, to be sure, but definitely broken.

Yes, mine was working before the patch, also.

Did you make sure you had enough gold (not check form) in your bank or pack? I just tried and it worked for me... dye from npc and bottle.

Oh yes. I paid with gold at the provisioner, and had plenty of gold in the bank as well. It worked for you, though? I wonder if it might have anything to do with my having recently used a race change token? I'll try again and see what happens tomorrow.

Addendum: Couldn't wait till tomorrow. I decided to try the hair dye on another character on the same account. This time it worked. Tried again on the original character and, once again, it did not work. So it looks like it is my character that's broken -- not the dye.

Paged a GM, waited a few minutes, then said the heck with it. It's less hassle to keep the old hair color.

Those items definitely don't work the way they did prior to the patch.
