Had mind rot casted one me and the spell wouldnt wear off.

Okies Im sure this might have been asked before but I was wondering whats up with mind rot not wearing off when cast on me? I was fighting a Crimson Dragon and got it cast on me and it never wore off had to have a Paladin come and use remove curse on me. Now if this is going to continue to happen every time I fight a necro user monster ingame I think mages should have a spell that removes these stuck spells.

I dunno why it happens but I have the same problem, only it was with Evil Omen. I had it cast on me by something and it wont go away. Even after someone cast remove curse on me.

best way ive found of fixing this was to get a friend to cast the SAME spell on me. It will reset the timers and just let it expire. The crimson dragons Mind rot has a timer thats over the max set in the code so it lasts forever.

On a lucky note for a few months I had a perma strength buff on my char. Not sure how or why it lasted or faded but i wasnt complaining.

First time I saw it was during the grim reaper event back in 2006. But as 5% said, easily fixed by getting a guildie/friend to cast the same spell on you. This will over-ride the permanent one.

Say, you wouldn't remember how you got the perm bless would ya?

It wasnt bles it was a strength buff. I had a freind deceide to cast some buff spells but all the low end ones repeditivly. I dont know the order but they were done more than once each. I dont think it was intended and the only one that stuch was str. I think he got me with each one 3-4 times in a strange order is my best guess and why he chose to use the low end ones instead of bless is anyones guess. He must a been 2/6 or better cuz it all hapened so fast.(under 80 magerey its 4/6 if im not mistaken). But for me its one of those things that happened once that i didnt try to recreate though i should!
