Logged on to find a clothing bless deed in my backpack and the hat unblessed. You can not rebless it.

Not complaining, just letting everyone know and to make sure you pay attention if you happen to have a messy backpack and dont see the cbd.

The hat I dont mind but just logged on to Ibi and had two deeds in my backpack, they unblessed the Pads of the Cu Sidhe also. Not sure why because they have no magical properties at all.

As always they fix one thing and screw up another.

They also unblessed a Feathered Hat I had looted from a monster quite some time ago.

There must be some sort of cut off on the resists because I was able to bless one that I had made, not that I really wanted to bless it but wanted to test it.

Nice of them to give us advance warning. *bangs head against brick wall*

As you say, why unbless the pads?

I really do not understand that. All they do is allow a human to ride the dog. The dog is a non factor in pvp since they are so slow.

There's also a change to bags of sending. Not entirely sure yet if it's deliberate or a bug caused by the introduction of the salvage bag, which uses the same graphic.

Just an FYI -

If your Headdress is on an inactive account, it will be unblessed when you log in. Reactivated an account this morning and the CBD was in the pack.

what's really cool is that my ninja belt is still blessed...

why unbless the pads of the cu? I don't want to HAVE to be elf now to be a [censored] tamer... this is so [censored] lame.

Glad it happened, Glad I sold mine for 4.5m 2 weeks ago, glad the idiots who said I was dumb for selling and kept theirs are now crying.

I don't understand why the pads of cu sidhe are unblessed either.... no magical properties, just let you as tamer have a chance to be human instead of elf...

You can wear the pads unblessed and then you die, then someone loots your boots and tada there you are UNable to ride your dog! argh

First thing I did when I logged in: turn my tamer into an elf

My Tamer is an Elf, and I think Removing the CBD from the Cu Pads is pretty stupid!
I understand the Headress removal, and would like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new Elf Tamers to the Family and the new Bird Beak Fashionable Headwear thats gonna be ALL the Rage...

I'm glad they finally did this to the headdress. Is long overdue.

The Pads do seem a bit odd. It is likely that it's unintentional. It probably wouldn't hurt to send a PM to Jeremy or Wilki, or maybe post on U Hall.

With that said, I would recommend being civil about it. Theres no reason at all to get all worked up and be hateful, give them a chance to fix it first.

they messed up several things, pads, bags of sending, champ boss hitpoints, swoop hitpoints.....would be nice to atleast test a few things and get some input before they roll this crap out......

a coon now needs 10 people and take 30 mins to put down? it went from 5k hitpoints to 50k overnite? this will be a great change for siege....

Didn't know that about Coon. I actually like that too. No more easy 120's from Despise. It also sounds like it will be more of a challenge for people to raid and KEEP a Coon spawn now.

All good changes to Despise IMHO.

Give feedback about the rest, see what happens. I personally feel that the dev team is listening to us more now than in a long time, if not ever. Could just be me though.

I just lored Swoop at 5k+ HP.

Normally I put a tamed CU with bad resists onto swoop to kill it for respawn and get some fame/loot.

Usually takes 2-3 Swoops to kill a CU, Swoop didn't even get a scratch this morning.

It is too early to say what is happening here. It sounds to me like they have put in the wrong code on this publish, although it could just be that the coders did not inform Jeremy of all that was going in. Anyway, I am quite happy with the changes so far except for unblessing the pads.

It seems that heavier objects require a number of charges. Essentially, you can no longer use it to send things like gold as it reportedly takes 21 charges per 10k, which is just not economic. Again, I have no problem with this, but it is a major change and so may not be intended for this publish, or indeed not intended at all.

I guess we should find out what the cutoff for hats is, I had a floppy hat with 58 total resist that is no longer blessable.

I would imagine that it works as was originally intended. If the item has resists greater than you can ordinarily craft (50 hopefully, not the pre-arms lore 42) you can not bless it.

Of course, if only they would update the patch notes with the change, we may know for sure.

I'll tell you what I can't seem to understand... Why are a bunch of "tough" siegers crying about losing blessings? Of course the pads should be unblessed, both human and elfs are suppose to have advantages and disadvantages, and not just pvp ones. If that doesn't make sense to you trammelites, then I don't know what would.

Very hard to believe that this game at one point had no blessings whatsoever, after listening to all the dang crying over bless loss. Makes me sad to hear siegers cry like this.

Lack of notice of significant changes is one thing I am sure people have issue with.

And when it comes down to it, if you are going to talk about advantages, did they really make those racial advantages "balanced" when they launched ML? JoAT is nice, but name one thing in the game that humans can wear that elves can't right now, one item which humans can use that elves can't. And while we are on the subject, which racial bonuses are generally considered more viable for PvP? Put another way, how many people do you know that primarily enjoy PvP on Siege, that didn't make the decision to turn their 'toon into a freakish looking creature so they wouldn't be left behind?

Racial Abilities

Elves

Night Sight - Elves always have the effect of a full strength Night Sight spell.

Infused with Magic - Elves have an increased energy resistance cap. Elven players must still increase their actual resistances through normal means (i.e. through equipment and magical effects).

Knowledge of Nature - Elves receive an increase to their chance of acquiring special resources such as colored ore when mining or special boards when lumberjacking.

Difficult to Track - Elves are more difficult to track than humans.

Perception - Elves gain an increased chance to passively detect hidden monsters and enemies.

Wisdom - Elves receive a bonus to their maximum mana.

Humans

Strong Back - Humans have an increased carrying capacity above what is determined by their strength.

Tough - Humans regenerate hit points faster than normal.

Workhorse - Humans have a better chance at finding more resources while gathering hides, ore and lumber.

Jack of All Trades - Humans have a basic ability in all skills, even untrained ones.

:-/

-Skylark

P.S. ML has been out over 2 years, how sad is it that the play guide on UO.com hasn't even been updated to mention the 2 races you can choose now?

I think unblessing the pads is fine. Cu's are elf-tamable and elf-ridable critters. What's the big deal?

Unicorns are only tamable and ridable by female characters
Kirins (or is it the bakes?) are only tamable and ridable by male characters

If you want to ride a cu as a human, stock up on the leggings. If you are only doing pvm, you'll be able to keep them for a long time as long as you are remotely smart about where you hunt. And Cu's are barely useful in pvp.

Personally, I want to see worgs that are only ridable by orc characters.

This is only helpful if yuor part ofa big guild or allience, what about the tiny guild who are trying to get some 120s so they can compete in pvp? that screws them over big time forcing them to join bigger alliences, hehe no wonder the JSV allience is so big. Seems everywhere you go you need numbers to compete.

This has actually been answered MANY times in the past. Anything with more than exceptional crafted resists is considered to have magical properties and cannot be blessed. Look at posts from Wilki when they first did the PBD fix.

Hmm. I must admit, I was half-asleep when I made my last post yesterday.
You can, as you are all probably aware, Siege bless your boots.
Or, as my aged grandmother was fond of saying, "well, bless my cotton socks!"

I never was quite sure why.
