I would like to introduce the Spanish Inquisition as the newest addition to the Guild Wars 2 Stratics Guild Spotlight series.
Our staff wants to personally thank Darknetsch, for taking time to interview with us.
I hope all the fans and readers enjoy the interview and welcome the Spanish Inquistion to Guild Wars 2 Stratics!
the Spanish Inquisition
Darknetsch (Krewe Leader)
Please tell us something about the guild?
Well first we aren’t a guild, we are a krewe made up of only Asura. Our weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency. Be you warrior or magi; fighting in the light or in the shadows, all Asura are welcome to shed the blood of the bookah.
What type of game play is the The Spanish Inquisition focusing on? PvE, WvW, or both?
The laws of the Krewe do not care if an individual wants to focus on PvE or WvWvW just as long as they go into PvP once per week to help improve their skills. We want have a good time knocking some bookahs down and prove that it will be brains, not brawn, that will win the day.
Is your krewe limited to a region/country or is the world all welcome to join?
This Krewe is not limited to region or country, granted understanding the English language is always a plus.
Currently we are primarily in North America, but as those from around the globe find us and join then we will expand.
We offer forums, email accounts, and a Teamspeak server so that we can keep people in touch, because as know that communication is key to any great krewe.
What are the krewes goals for Guild Wars 2?
Currently we are just looking to have some fun in GW2, and roll on the ground laughing both when we defeat an opponent and get defeated ourselves.
Eventually we do want to the point that when a band of the SI krewe comes together no one will expect the carnage that will follow us.
What brought you and your current krewe members together to form
The Spanish Inquisition (SI) ?
Well it started with JohnnyV over at GuildWars2Forums.com making the joke about his first character will be an Asura warrior, because no one will ever see it coming. This of course led to more jokes that made me think it had to be created. Once I started doing the artwork things just started to come together.
What is the most exciting part for your krewe as a whole for Guild Wars 2?
We are all looking forward to see how the different professions interact in PvP.
We are also so very ready to see how the skills of each profession combo together to create even greater destruction. There is a general hope that unexpected combos will make the game far more entertaining than it would seem to some people on the surface. Oh and a good bar brawl never hurt anyone.
Are you recruiting and how may players get in touch with you?
The Spanish Inquisition (SI) is currently recruiting and we don’t expect to shut the doors on any Asura willing to join our ranks. Any that are interested in joining simply need to head to our always in progress website SpanishInq.clan-dragon.org, then go on the forums, sign-up, and apply to be a member. As long as people are willing to follow the laws set down then they may stick around the SI till the day they join the Eternal Alchemy.
Is there anything you are looking for in new members?
While it doesn’t matter what profession you plan on playing, we always want to have people who are active and looking to contribute to the krewe as a whole. In game this will mean combo partners, static party players, & crafters. Out of game we always need people willing to spread the word about the Spanish Inquisition, help keep things lively in our forums, artists to provide new images, and generally whatever people are willing do to help us grow.
Thank you Darknetsch and we wish you and the Spanish Inquisition krewe great adventures and glory in the battles of Guild Wars 2.
