Guidance needed to rework to a T-Hunter

Like most players I have 6 slots filled. One of them needs to be a T-Hunter so one of these characters has to be reworked. I am asking for help on which one to rework.

1
Anatomy 95.4
Focus 100.0
Healing 79.8
Mace 100.0
Tactics 100.0
Chivalry 100.0
Resist spells 44.8

2
Anatomy 92.1
Focus 93.3
Healing 27.6
Mace 101.9
Parry 100.0
Tactics 100.0
Wrestling 2.5 working it down
Chivalry 100.2
Fishing 100.0

3
Evaluate Int 120.0
Magery 120.0
Meditation 120.0
Hiding 100.0
Lock Pick 100.0
Stealth 120.0

4
Arms Lore 100.0
Blacksmith 120.0
Carpentry 100.0
Mining 100.0
Tinker 100.0
Magery 80.0
Tailoring 120.0

5
Magery 100.0
Animal Lore 108.9
Taming 102.6
Veterinary 78.7
Music 115.0
Peacemaking 115.0

6
Anatomy 100.0
Focus 70.0
Healing 98.2
Parry 110.0
Swordsmanship 109.4
Tactics 100.0
Bushido 106.0

That is the list. I am thinking #1 could rework most of his skills and not bother me any. Just would like some input before I start.
Thank in advance for any advice given.

Well for me, I love my tamer t-hunter, so your peace tamer #5 looks interesting to switch. You would have to stone peace and music or get rid of it though. I solo level 7 chests with this template though frost dragons can be a pain.

120 Taming (+15 jewelry)
120 Lore
120 Vet (+15 jewelry)
100 Cart
100 LP
100 Magery
80 Med

The dexxers will be hard to rework to be able to solo the higher end maps. The need of Resist and Parry or Bushido will make it difficult. You can try without healing and using life leech and mana leech weapons with HPR and MR on other items.

120 Macing (+15 jewelry)
120 Tactics
120 Bushido (+15 jewelry)
100 Cart
100 LP
120 Chivalry
100 Resist
You would have to add another +30 in jewelry and then it makes getting the stats and regens tough but it is doable.

You could also redo your mage #3 and do a mystic t-hunter like these links here, same poster, one gives a better description of gear and skills.

I hope this helps and welcome back! :)

I would say definitely number 3.

I would also say 1, 2 & 6 are essentially the same character with the exception of Fishing on 2 as a specialism. Not meaning to offend with that just saying you could probably change another character or two and not really be short anywhere. I have a similar problem with Mages on mine, I seem to have 3, none of which I really want to do without. :(

No offense taken on any suggestion. At one time I guess I thought macing was the way to go. I think they hit stamina hard and that was what I wanted to do. I also think (seem to remember vaguely) that I spent a lot of time on Fel when I played. #2 was my dungeon thief. Now this many years later I am not even sure how I played her. All I know is she make Glorious Lady and I wish I could remember her routine.
Not wanting to spend the money for a 7th slot my thought was to delete #1 and start a new character for T hunting. I do remember meeting DL Lestat one time and I don't think it was good for me. LOL All fun and games

*Do I need to have SA to have Mysticism as a skill?*

You really don't need to delete a character to start one over.
In fact, it would be better not to delete, and just start switching skills over.

Skills you don't want anymore, you can soulstone off and delete, but the Powerscrolls used stay on the character.

Then, you just add the new skills (or move them from other characters with the soulstone - remember to use any applicable powerscrolls first), and work them back up.

The new loot means you might be able to reconfigure suits to get most of your bonuses without jewelry, then use imbued jewelry to fill in skill gaps above the 720 limit. I have 3 characters that have over 800 skill points as a result, with few real weaknesses (A combat miner who digs for para ore elementals in Ilshenar on purpose, a bard/tamer with 6xlegendary+106 magery, and a melee T-hunter that only has difficulties with AWs and Level 5-7 Tokuno maps in awkward locations (I keep getting them in places like the Dojo front yard, Rune beetle spawns, and those nearly impassible woods with bake kitsune and those energy elementals). Don't forget crafted and artifact/event loot books for additional bonuses, if a spellcaster.

Basara this is a great idea. I had forgotten about soul stones. I think I had one when I left but not sure. Now to go look for it thanks for the ideas.

* I just logged in # 3 my Dungeon chest picker and found 1 red soulstone with 100 Cartography on it, a 2nd red stone unused, and a red soulstone fragment with 100 resist. Can I transfer these skills to another player is what you are saying? Will have to go look up soulstones and how to use them as I am not clear on this.

since they are both first-year rewards and also buyable from the Origin store, even if you misplaced yours, you should be able to replace it easily enough.

To use them, you need to be in a safe logout area like your house or an Inn. To put an item on the stone, make sure the skill is set to lower, then double click the stone. It will show skills that you can put on the stone and choose the one you are removing and it will remove it and put it on the stone. It is the opposite to put it on a character from the stone. The stones and skills are account bound. You can transfer these skills to any character on your account. They can even be taken to another shard and used there as long as it is the same account.

Doing research about T-Hunter skill and found this:
"One note if you did treasure hunting in the past, now the treasure locations are randomized which means, that there is not a treasure library that will help recall onto the right spot."

Is this correct now? I have a chest full of rune books with treasure map locations made, so now they are useless? Is this just like the mining spots for higher end ore? The more I relearn about this game the more difficult it seems to be to play.

In many cases the maps are easier to find than they once were in Trammel & Felucca. For example, I have 3 level 6 maps that are actually in the street grid of New Magincia, and others in or close to other cities. One of them was close enough to the dock in New Mag to where the individual spawn was getting guard-whacked, though the guardian spawn of the initial chest pop is immune to guards.

ALL facets have t-maps now, though no maps in the lost lands of either facet, thank god.

Mining adds up to 4 squares to your reach, and one of the tricks of the trade these days is to decode all your maps with Cartography, then soulstone it off and soulstone lockpicking on into the same space of the template. As long as you were the character that decoded the map, you don't have to keep cartography on the character for the dig & pick phases. This allows room for mining on a T-hunter template.

Yeah don't let the randomized locations scare you. I find it more fun now than before. I just keep a handful of runebooks marked with landmarks and hoof it from the nearest one. With mining on char it takes less than 5 minutes to find chest, including the running.

This is my template and works a treat! He can solo any lvl map... The Stealth is to be able to come close and check spawn is dead after casting RC's to kill. Also for doing maps in Felucca when there are lame pks about messing with your schedule :)

120 Stealth
120 Mystic
120 Focus
100 Hide
100 Lock pick
100 Mining

The rest in Magery + what ever items you can wear to bump that up to around 90

Only use Cart to decode maps then stone because don't need the skill to dig the chest up....

IMHO, Taming is not so good for lvl 7 maps because you have to get in close to vet your pet and can get re-targeted by the spawn when doing so... I've died a lot more with a Tamer/Thunter template than I have with the above one...

I have rethought this whole process now. I hated to redo any of my existing characters so I started new on GL. I am working a miner/crafting guy, a carto T Hunter, and a fisherman.
The T hunter has /is only working carto so far . Next I was going to work up magic and you mage/mystic template could work for me.

of course, you could also buy the 7th character slot to give you something to work with on your old shard too.

The above template works well for Miasma as well. Deploy RC while at edge of screen, hide and then stealth up and check corpses for a chest - unlock - open (can take the damage with an all 70s suit) - take map - dump chest... Very rarely does he die and can stay down there for hours collecting the lvl 6 maps :)

I looked in the Origin store but couldn't find soul stones for sale. Maybe they took them off? Or is it my reading comprehension again?
