Just took a look at this 'imrpoved' account system.
WHAT THE GOSH have they done to the billing pages?
€13.99 +tax and then they ask a Holland resident for a 16 digit debit card number - we dont even HAVE 16 digits on our debit cards.

For an international company like EA you would think they would realise tha from the list of available cards:

JCB, Discover, Visa Electron and VIsa Debit, don't exist here
And as I wont give my card details to paybycash looks like I am unable to rejoin :/

GOing to drop then an email tomorrow I think and see if there's a way round it, but seems unlikely.
And from reading the UHall posts seems theyve made a right booboo with this.

I may not understand your problem, but isn`t there an option to use a regular Visa?

There is, but most Dutch people don't HAVE a Credit Card, goes against the culture as a rule. The Dutch do online a weird way, it's either standard band debit or a system called iDeal. Most people will use it but for some reason EA/Mythic only take credit cards and what seems like UK debit cards :/

My account expired a few days ago so I had to go through the new account creation process, at first I couldn't seem to find any option to renew my game account, then when I eventually did, they wanted to add £8 tax onto the subscription (which clearly states it is inclusive of VAT)

In the end I got a game time code from uogamecodes.com - which for once allowed me to purchase with no trouble. Not ideal but it might even have saved me a little bit of money, I don't know whether you can use a debit card there and I think they only have 3 month or 6 month codes, you could have a look though. I too am not terribly impressed with the new system or how it's been implemented, but I suppose at least I can still get my UO fix for a few more months...

Yeah was just looking at that, I suppose I'll have to dip and get a 3 month code when I get paid. Only wanted a 30day to see if I wanted to carry on with my old account, no way I'm going to start again from scratch again

Well at least a 3 month code will give you more time to get into the new content - the devs have been pretty busy
