Grrrr timing out problem

In your house or in an inn, you are supposed to be able to to log out instantly. Yet every day, one of my chars will get stuck or something. I'll log out in my house, and it'll tell me that another one is still logged in blah blah. I wait several minutes to time out, but it's a pain in the butt. Why is it doing this?

If you were in combat in the last 2-3 minutes, you'll get stuck with a 5 minute timer.

Strangely, if you wait out the shorter time, you won't get hit with the full 5 minutes.

Yep and also even if you are running in to your house and a nearby monster targets you and causes some damage, you go in to auto defence mode and hit back.
This causes the above 5 min time out.

If you go to an inn that's free of hostiles and haven't been in combat within 5 mins you will insta log.

If in your house your can 99% insta hide, just set a macro to use the hidding skill, it will work even if it's turned down and at zero.

Why hide?

Well you will lose agro and also on re logging that char in, they will be invised till you move or do some other stuff.

I have had similar problems lately too, and it's nothing to do with being involved in combat.

Just last night I logged in with my mage, realized I needed an item one of my other characters had, so I logged out, and in with char #2. He dropped the item in a secure chest and logged out. Took 30 seconds tops. Try to log back in with my mage and get the message saying another character is still logged in. I log back in with char #2, take 2 steps and log out again. This time he insta-logs and it lets my mage back in.

Strange and annoying.
