OK i have 6 fertile dirt i have a seed and my oak barrel planter how do i grow something ?

Its a anniversary gift choice not used at all in planting things
You expect something as logicial as actually being able to use an item with the word "planter" in its name to, you know, plant something?

You need either a raised garden bed ( would go for these if you want to get into the "growing-business !!!! ) or use a pot filled with dirt ( read the exact proceder up in one of many howtos regarding Uo Plants )
Double-Klick seed and plant - voilla
If you have fertile dirt in your backpack ( and only then ! ) you will get asked if you want to use the fertile dirt - plant can jump grwoth-checks then aka grows faster ( would not use this though if you wanting to cross-polinate as you cannot calculate exactly how many days it will take )
