Grizzled Mare Disappearing ?

Someone told me that if you have a grizzled mare for more than three months, and you get off of it and dont stable it it will disappear? Has anyone had this happen ? I have one, and I know Ive had it for more than three months and I dont want to loose it. Any help would be much appreciated.

The root of this is probably a recent fix to summoned mounts, and I think other creatures, which would be the source of "3 months".

One of the champs, I think it was, was able to dispel Grizzled Mares, and Paroxymus' Swamp Dragons.
This was fixed, so that ones that spawned after the fix wouldn't be vulnerable to this "unintended feature"

That's my take on it, anyway.
