Greater Dragon Help :)

I was reading a stickied thread on here, and just wondering if it still holds true, since I heard taht the dragons were nerfed a while before I rejoined.

If you take a fresh tamed dragon and divide his wrestling, tactics, or resist spells by 0.8, is that his max trained values? Just wanted to make sure this trick works, as I am taming a bunch of them to find one with high skills.

If it's true, I just found one that will finish with:

123.2 Wrestle (98.6 at fresh tame)
115.1 Tactics (92.1 at fresh tame)
123.7 Resist (99 at fresh tame)

He also has 118.3 Magery and 898 HP. His only bad side is that his phys resist is 62. :-/

Yep thats how it works. That low phys is a deal breaker for me though, I would have gotten him guardwhacked. Could be a good niche pet for something that doesn't do physical damage though, depending on the other resists. I really only look at phys/fire myself.

I have to agree, the low phys is a deal breaker. Can have up to 85 I think.

Maybe if youre in a group and you don't tank though ... can also get new quest items to make resists better temporarily too.

Thanks for the confirmation. :) Im definitely going to bond and train him up before making any decisions. I was fortunate to tame a 4.2 greater that very same day with 932 HP and his first three resists being perfect. However, his skills won't cap out very high at all. A few of my guildies say that dragons with low skills should be made into shoes. :sad2: I plan to train both and see who performs better. Or perhaps keep both :) Still looking for that perfect one, but it's so difficult to find a complete package pet.

Did someone say quest which improves pet resists?

Do tell! :)

It's a 20 minute boost, with a 60 minute cooldown. Not worth the effort in my opinion.

Can't remember the name of the quest giver, but do a search for 'tasty treats'. It's the second level of that quest I believe.
