Greater dragon blues

Well after a couple or three years absence I have returned to UO and I am absolutely loving it (except the inflation!)

After playing about with a few of my chars I have mostly decided I prefer my tamer (as before) but I'm finding my trusty cu-sidhe to be hard work sometimes.

I have been looking at these fancy new greater dragons, but my skills are lacking to tame them, I can't even manage to beat one down

According to the calculator I have enough skills to control one (108 lore, 110 taming) but I just fail when i try to tame one and usually die in the process. Its proving quite frustrating and I cant afford to get the 120 scrolls to be able to get the skills to have a hope of taming one.

I would be very grateful if some kind person could help me out with taming one or perhaps donate a spare if they would happen to have one in the stables not being used.

Build up your honor virtue. When you get ready to tame a greater, honor yourself. This will give you a brief window to tame the greater without being targeted.

I have been working on my honor and progress is being made but it just seems such a short time to do the tame that I never have any luck. I probably just need more honor to get a decent tame in.

Yeah, need it built up to at least the first path. My suggestion, take your cu to the Blighted Grove and honor/kill thrasher. You can build honor pretty quick this way.

Well im on the first path of honor and im having a bash at these greaters but 'you seem to anger the beast' pops up a lot at 110 usually followed by some OooOOOoo stuff
