Greater Drag going grey for no reason?

I havent been using mine much but ive noticed this problem before, 1st time I was in despise with my Greater Drag on baracoon with me healing it and all of a sudden I notice Im grey and so is the pet. Tonight I have a newly bonded greater drag guarding me and I'm hidden fighting lichlords and the pet turns grey, I didnt happen to catch why but there was noone else around, I was hidden and giving no orders and he just went grey and was back green in 2 mins. I still gained fame and everything. Has anyone noticed this or has it been posted? I wasnt able to find any info.

I'm thinking it might have something to do with arch cure and it being Felucca. Arch curing hits all the targets in an area and being a beneficial spell, doing so to a red or grey should flag you criminal as well.

I don't believe that is how arch cure works, I am almost positive if you are blue it will not work on a red unless you are in party with them... I don't think casting the spell will make you agressive to anyone, I could be wrong tho.. maybe someone can check this theory out, I can't do it right now but when I come back if no one has I will....

Yes, that is exactly the issue. Archcure was changed to affect criminals without direct targeting.

Its possible its arch cure, but I know mine always flags me criminal, but my beetle, mare, or white wyrm never do. I reported this over a month ago. Even when I pull it fresh from the stable it will flag me so I can't recall, if I heal or bless it.

I thought they took out all the changes for the arch cure crap that was suppose to go into this publish...

They changed the nerf and put the spell back to it's normal effectiveness. I think the flagging was meant to be that way and was fixed and left that way because thats the way it was meant to be. In a way, some people might say they still nerfed it but they feel this was the way it should have been in the first place.

Of course i could be wrong about that and perhaps they meant to remove the flagging changes along with it but it slipped through the cracks.

I'm not sure, but I think there is something else going on here besides the arch cure. While training my great dragon, it goes from green-guilded to blue every few minutes. If I tell it to "All Kill" then it goes back to green, only to turn blue once again after a short while. None of my other pets that I trained did this. Flying ability? Dragon breath? Not sure, but I am sure that my dragon did NOT cast arch cure during any of these episodes... fighting a shadow elemental.

It's quite normal for a pet to change from green to blue during a long fight, and if you're training it on a shadow ele that will certainly happen.

Pets should only be casting arch cure when they're poisoned.

Has anyone been guard whacked by an arch curing pet in guardzone? I'm just a little concerned about this with the latest event coming up. I'm not sure it'd happen, but I'd prefer some confirmation that you just flagged grey

You could be right, I just don't remember my bake's or cu sidhes (more than a dozen trained) ever changing color because I wasn't in a guild at that time.

How could we set up a repeatable test about going gray with a great dragon casting arch cure in or near a guard zone? Guilded pets in a city? Killing demons in wind near the protected area?

Hrm..

Hows about, get a friend to flag grey outside town guards (eg kill a healer) then have 2 kitsune sparring while he stands beside them. Cast poison on the kits and see what happens when they arch cure with a grey around.

I'd have thought that would be enough to flag you and your pets as grey and trigger a guard whack if it was gonna happen.

It's that or lure something mean and poisonous into a town guard zone with your newly passive pets (get them to target the pet then walk into town). Eg opids into Papua.

I don't think there's a town with rotters nearby who could be test dummies.

Bumping this, because its going on 2 months and I still can't heal my dragon without flagging.
