How long grace period do you have if your account goes inactive due to no payment until your house falls/can't be refreshed back?

It's still 90 days.

After 90 days a house is supposed to go condemned.

You have to reactivate the account and go through a server maintenance BEFORE the house reaches In Danger of Collapsing.

If it reaches IDOC then the only way to prevent it from falling is to trade it.

90 days - You can deactivate account for about 85 days and then pay 30 days - rinse repeat - If enough people did that perhaps EAMYTHIC would realise how pissed off many people are...

Good point - they would probably do what I thought the did and lower it to 30 days.

Great idea and then lose another few thousand accounts permanently .....

I didn't mean that was the correct thing for them to do. It is just the reaction I would expect from them. Couple years ago my brother ended up in the hospital for 6 or 8 weeks. If that happened to me my accounts could go inactive since the credit card might not get paid and the charge for my account could bounce. With a 30 day rule I could see some houses falling which would certainly provide incentive to break my UO addiction.

EA doesn't seem to logical. Many times when they "fix" a problem they do it at the expense of the player base. Take the lates "fix" for the items in a locked down container or the change that doesn't let a guild have a faction branch that is allied with the rest of the guild.

FYI, I closed an account on April 14th, 2008. It just went slightly today.

GO figure though, the house on the acct I closed in February 08, is still standing....

Well that makes sense! Talk about a discrepancy. I deactivated an account in May and keep checking to see if it's started a decay cycle because we never seem to know if the 90 day rule is still in effect.

90 days is appropriate. Let's let sleeping dogs lie.

Another sleeping dog that should be left alone are the "welcome back" houses. They are not hurting anyone except the jealous ones.

You mean the houses that were used to store duped items, the houses that were used to place at IDOCs, the houses that were used for 14 days then account was closed thusly leaving a blemish that cant be removed, the houses that block placement for players still playing....yup good call. I see jealous people.
