My younger sister just arrived, somewhat hungover, from Fire Island (??), to make her report on the events that occured last week in Cove. I am not quite sure what she did during these few days way, nor what her business was on that dreaded island, but she would at least tell me of the events that dramatically ended by the abduction of Vesper Governor Ivy.
First, it is with great regret that I must reckon she did not follow my advice, and still went on with her foolish project of rallying the orcs to sign a treaty of sorts. I am well placed to know that these stinky devils can not be trusted, after we had attempted something similar in Yew with catastrophic results.
Here is a pigeon I sent her just a few hours before the events in Cove:
"Dear Governor Ivy,
I think you are making a dangerous mistake by trusting any kind of treaty can be signed and honored by the orks. Your affection for these worthless assassins will bring you nothing but deception and harm, just as it happened with Kipu.
I do not know what influence Crak'Trizh has over the Cove ork clan, but I do know how I will react if I was to face them. Therefore, I will not be present for your futile attemp, so to not turn to crisps your interlocutors.
I will, on the other hand, send my younger sister, Akasha, to keep an eye over you personnally, and keep harm away from you. She knows well how to handle a blade, and needs to learn the ropes of diplomacy.
Please, do not take unnecessary risks, and have the insight to recall the hell out at the first sign of danger.
Tehan, Governor of Yew."
And now, here's my sister Akasha's report:
"We were summoned to Governor' Ivy's office that night. I arrived somewhat in advance, so I figured I would have time to rest from the long trip at the inn nearby, and refresh myself.
I fell in a much deeper sleep than I had expected. You know how training combat skill can be draining.. Anyways, I showed up a few minutes late, but early enough to catch Governor Ivy's final instructions. We were to meet with a certain ork representative at the Cove ork fort. We were to let her do the talking, and keep our weapons down, in sig of good faith.
The minute we arrived at the fort, we were attacked by orks garding its gates, and had no choice but to defend ourselves. Governor Ivy then suggested there mere peons were not aware of the diplomatic effort, and that we should not be discouraged by this little misunderstanding.
After running through the rest of the encampment, we finally reached the docks, where the ork representative was waiting for us. But he was not alone. Some hooded character derailed the negociations, bribing the ork to her cause. That elusive female finally proved to be none other than Holly Bloodhand herself, rallying the Cove ork clan to her cause with gold.
When we realized who she was, the ork "diplomat" was already forcing Governor Ivy unto the pirate ship awaiting nearby, and Bloodhand covered her retreat by unleashing on us not one, but TWO harbingers. By the time we pulled our blades out, we had already endured some severed wounds. The battle was harsh and bloody, and the abducters had plenty of time to escape before we could bring the two hellish sprouts down.
We watched the sails disapear under the horizons, as we remained on the docks in dismay. No clue could be found as to where they were taking Governor Ivy, other than they appeared to be sailing southwards. Since they did not just kill her right on spot in Cove, I can only assume she will be used for some ransom, or blackmail.
After listening to this terrible tale, I went on a vengeful expedition, to have those filthy creature pay for their treachery, and try gather information on the whereabouts she was being held. Here are some portraits of the ork encampments I have visited so far:
In Yew:
In Cove:
In Ilshenar:
In the Lost Lands:
The only answer I got was dying breaths and silence. Maybe other forms of interrogations are in order here, but we shall ask the King's counsel on this matter first. We shall also demand that he finally takes direct actions against that criminal, Holly Bloohand. Why the Crown has remained idle for so long, allowing that seadog to perpetuate such acts of villany beats me.
Let's hope we can pull Governor Ivy out of the trouble she has put herself into before it is too late.
