Governor’s Meeting 8-30-17
After a lot of confusion as to when and the hour of the meeting’s lateness, the meeting took place August 30th at 10pm CT.
Roll-call: Cinderella, Clym of Clough, Dezerai, KHAN, King Blackthorn, Lavendar, Miri, Queen Mum.

KHAN: Sire, I bring news
King Blackthorn: I appreciate all of you coming on an odd day and time!

King Blackthorn: Aye?
KHAN: Governor Galahad has taken ill and won't be with us tonight
King Blackthorn: Oh dear!
KHAN: he is recovering though
King Blackthorn: I hope it's not serious!
KHAN: hmm, could have been
KHAN: but he is ok
King Blackthorn: I must send him my best wishes for his recovery. Let us all sit
KHAN: I will let him know, Thank you Sire
King Blackthorn: Alright let us call this meeting to order we have some things to cover. As usual, I would first begin with hearing an update from each governor.
King Blackthorn: Let us begin with New Magincia. What have you to report?
KHAN: The lands are besieged by forces unknown. New Magincia is ok so far. I have checked the city, we are ok, for now, and are ready and able to help the other cities.
King Blackthorn: Ahh yes. Many reports have been coming in.
KHAN: New Magincia stands ready to fight!
Queen Mum: *pants* *Britain Governor comes running in*
King Blackthorn: Please keep me informed as things progress!
KHAN: Hail Queen Mum
Clym of Clough: Greetings Mum!!
Dezerai: *waves*
King Blackthorn: Welcome governor!
KHAN: I will do so Sire
King Blackthorn: Glad that you could make it!
Queen Mum: *catches breath* Sorry Sire
King Blackthorn: It is ok I did ask for you all to attend a meeting out of normally scheduled time. King Blackthorn: Something I do not normally do. And I appreciate that each of you could make it!
Queen Mum: Not falling asleep yet
King Blackthorn: Governor of Minoc, what do you have to report?
Cinderella: all was well til just recently the miners have been trapped and now we have quicksilver elementals.
King Blackthorn: Oh dear, that is a problem
Cinderella: we have that to deal with but are also concerned for the other cities as well
we shall conquer these creatures and save the miners.
King Blackthorn: Perhaps the Royal Guard need to aid in this?
Dezerai: would be nice
Cinderella: would be good
King Blackthorn: I will speak with the captain
Cinderella: *nods* thank you, Your Majesty
King Blackthorn: Most welcome. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. What does the Governor of Britain have for me?
Cinderella: you're welcome
King Blackthorn: *Looks at Governor Mum*
Queen Mum: *smiles* Well Sire we seem to have fires in our city
Dezerai: *nods*
Queen Mum: to the south where the farm fields are and also the Inn
King Blackthorn: And what is being done?
Queen Mum: We tried to put the fires out with the help of the water barrel brigade but it did not help I fear it will only spread towards the city and homes
King Blackthorn: Are there any other plans in the works?
Queen Mum: also along with the cultists popping out wow we try to do our chores leaves us
worn and some are beginning to feel to afraid to leave their homes
King Blackthorn: We must then do something
Queen Mum: We hope you will be able to find more information on what is going on. It appears many of our cities are under siege.
King Blackthorn: I will get with my scholars to see what can be done about this.
Queen Mum: Thank you Sire
King Blackthorn: also again, the royal guard must get involved. They need a little bit of action I think.
Queen Mum: *agrees*
King Blackthorn: I will see what I can do in the matter. Once I have a plan of action I will let you know. Governor of Moonglow what say you?
Dezerai: Sire, fellow governors over all the Isle of Moonglow is quite compared to the other cities. City trades have increased as well as the raids from the Bandits across the lands. Current City Treasury balance is 17,279, 371 gold. Trade deal is the +2 Mana Regen. On Moonglow, there has been a murder of one of the Monks at the Lycaeum. It is under investigation as we speak Sire. that is all I have
King Blackthorn: what has been determined regarding the murder? Anything at all?
Dezerai: We believe they were after information regarding new spells, the works of the new spell book.
King Blackthorn: Alright, as new information comes forward, I request that you inform me.
Dezerai: yes Sire
King Blackthorn: Governor of Skara Brae, what have you to say?
Clym of Clough: well a few weeks ago I left the city for a few hours and it seems we had an earthquake which damaged the stables now the crevice seems to be more severe and the damage to the stables is getting very bad and I have not checked but it’s being told to me that our sister island just north has had some major changes
King Blackthorn: Oh?
Clym of Clough: so we are trying to investigate and see what can be done we have heard very recently there may be activity there
King Blackthorn: please do so, and report back what you find.
Clym of Clough: I shall do that
King Blackthorn: and perhaps we can look into the stables damage. Assess what can be done.
Clym of Clough: I have boarded up the back room in the stables but we are trying to keep it open
King Blackthorn: Very good!
Clym of Clough: our citizens need to retrieve their pets
King Blackthorn: Indeed. We will see what can be done.
Clym of Clough: Thank you
King Blackthorn: Governor of Vesper, what have you to report?
Lavendar: Greetings Sire
Lavendar: I fear we have had very stormy weather in Vesper torrential rain which has caused flooding shops near the docks are in the water the baker has let me know many of their goods are damaged from flooding. I don't know how long it will take for the waters to recede. I also see there is someone from housing assistance to perhaps help in relocating citizens that have been displaced. It seems that many disasters have come at once to our lands
Dezerai: *nods*
King Blackthorn: So aid is being provided to those affected?
Lavendar: Yes
King Blackthorn: Very good. We shall see about possibly aiding in recovery and protection
Lavendar: Thank you, Sire
King Blackthorn: I am concerned.... We have many issues hitting us all at once
Dezerai: yes I feel we are under attack from unseen forces
King Blackthorn: We will need to pull in our efforts if we are to overcome this
Dezerai: *nods*
King Blackthorn: The Royal guard is at our disposal as is Trinsic Jones and his group and come up with a plan of action. Alright..... next topic I have asked for a parchment be delivered regarding the contest that was being held a while back regarding town decorations I have not received said parchment
Dezerai: Yew was to be first I believe
Lavendar: Aye sire
King Blackthorn: detailing all info possible regarding previous interaction
Lavendar: and do we have a governor for Yew?
King Blackthorn: So I will need this. Now the last topic
Lavendar: I believe something went wrong at election time
Dezerai: *looks at the Lady Miri*
King Blackthorn: As we do not have a Yew governor I have 1 entry that has come before me
and I will put it to a vote. Miri come forward
Dezerai: *claps*
Cinderella: *claps*
Queen Mum: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Governors, do any of you disagree with Miri becoming governor until the term is over? Speak now or forever hold your peace
Dezerai: Ney I would vote for her myself if I was a citizen of Yew
Lavendar: I think we would be pleased to have her join us
Clym of Clough: We have to vote? Miri was elected and a mere paper error is the only reason she did not take office
Cinderella: would love to have her in the position
Miri: *smiles*
Dezerai: and I welcome my sister governor with open arms
King Blackthorn: Very well if there is no one who opposes
KHAN: I vote for Miri
King Blackthorn: Miri I will grant you governorship of Yew
Dezerai: *claps*
KHAN: YAY!!!!
Queen Mum: *claps*
Lavendar: *applauds*

King Blackthorn: Once the meeting is over, I will meet you at the stone
Miri: *laughs*
King Blackthorn: I will go thru each governor now and ask if there is anything they wish to bring to the table
King Blackthorn: New Magincia?
KHAN: Not I sire, I just ask that we stay vigilant
King Blackthorn: very well! Minoc?
Cinderella: nothing at this time, just watching over our citizens during these difficult times
King Blackthorn: ahh there we go

Queen Mum: Nothing to add as you understand our plight
King Blackthorn: Moonglow?
Dezerai: I had a request from a Trinsic citizen when will the trade deal be turn on but the governor is absent nothing, further Sire
King Blackthorn: Skara Brae?
Clym of Clough: Nothing more from our city and area to report
King Blackthorn: and Vesper?
Lavendar: We had an inquiry
King Blackthorn: aye?
Lavendar: asking whether there is a Navery hole on Sonoma. I could not answer and would like to look into that
Dezerai: aye I forgot of that
King Blackthorn: Perhaps I could have some men sent to inquire
Lavendar: That would be greatly appreciated
Clym of Clough: All our fair shards deserve a Navrey Hole
Lavendar: Thank you yes, we have learned that other realms have one
Dezerai: A good location for it would be the Mage tower of Moonglow next to @Mesanna Puppy as the puppy now guard the tower
Lavendar: and we would like to as well
Clym of Clough: yes
King Blackthorn: I will have my men sent at once to investigate
Lavendar: If we do not we would like to petition to have one for our homeland
Dezerai: yes
KHAN: AYE! I agree
King Blackthorn: now, if there is nothing more, I will close tonight’s meeting
Dezerai: *Looks about*
King Blackthorn: and ask that Miri head to the stone to be inducted into her new position.
Miri: *nods*
King Blackthorn: I will meet with her shortly
With those words the meeting was over, all left the chamber, most heading to the City Stone of Yew!
