Some guildys of mine are not logging on.

Same raids, same dailys, "got enough gold" "got my epic mount" blah....

I have not yet gotten one of my characters to 70th. On Purpose! Even my brother in law has a 70 rogue on my server and he pops on to check his mail once a week. I can't even whisper him before he's gone.

So, Will life end at 70 for me? I know to answer this you need to know my play style. Very few instances, only pve and I level by questing. No grinding here.

Are you bored at 70th? Did you start another toon? One friend has a 70th Mage, she says the mage is retired even when the next expansion arrives. She is now working alts.

i have two 70s that i play with (druid and mage). i'm not a raider myself (too busy with work and stuff)...so mainly once i hit 70, i amuse myself with little goals:

getting my epic flying mounts

doing daily quests or just quests i never done before (there's always quests you never done before)

level up my crafts

some casual pvp

sometimes i'd try to see if i can take my 70 char and see if i can solo some of the old instances (Scholo, Strat, etc).

looking for ways to upgrade my gears without having to raid (looking up various armors/weaps that can be crafted, get the mats for the item and then finding someone with the recipe to craft it)

and grouping every once in a while with some RL friends (i rarely do PuGs)

of course, when those get boring, i'd play with alts! hehe.

I have two 70's. One priest for raiding and a druid for farming. Of course, it depends on what parts of the game gives you the most enjoyment but there are tons of thing to keep me busy.

But if your enjoyment comes from leveling, then definately keep doing that. There is nothing wrong with creating a character from every available class and try them out. If you ever do decide to PVP, this will definately make you a worthy opponent as you will have a good understanding of all classes strengths and weaknesses.

I try and level alts, but ultimately I always log back into my main character.

I'm a PvPer, so there always something for me to do, I absolutely love arenas, and enjoy BGs as well, so I don't mind wasting a few hours doing those. I also quite enjoy raiding and some of the PVE content, which surprises me, so I always see room for improvement in gear, not to mention it's satisfying downing difficult bosses.

But then I'm still fairly new, even though I've been playing WoW since release, thanks to real life keeping me from getting close to raiding levels till recently!

My raiding guild is fairly casual yet sucessful, which makes it probably more enjoyable, no stress, and no talent restraints, which is why I love it.

For me personally, the game only really began at 70, I enjoy having a new shiney to work for, or improving one piece just ever so slightly.

The game will tire if you play it at an extreme level but that's only natural. The beauty of the game is having freedom, and when you have to push yourself to constantly do anything, it becomes a chore. I mean some people grind to get the epic mount, but by the time they've made the 5k, they have tired themselves out...

What I'm saying is, play how you want to play, and enjoy it while it lasts.

I have a few alts, but had those before I hit 70. There's still a lot to do at 70. I want to have a Druid and A priest at 70 soooo hehe.

I absolutly love endgame of WoW. I'm two bosses from "beating" WoW at this point and I PvP off and on for fun. It just depends on how much you really want to craft your character. Once you hit the level cap the only way to advance your character is gear. First is 5mans -> Heroics -> Raids/PvP/Arena.

So if you want to do that, you could have a lot of fun at 70.

I'm a solo player for the most part, so 70 for me is pretty boring. I have one 70 and I never play her.

Problem is that I rarely have the time to sit and dedicate multiple hours to an instance or raid. The few hours I have between the kids going to bed and me going to bed rarely match up with my guildmates raiding/instance times.

I don't mind it so much because leveling is actually fun for me so I just start up a new character. But yeah, for the most part I got bored at 70. I'll dust her off again when the next expansion comes out though
