Goodbye Stratics,

Its been a crazy ride. I wish all of you nothing but peace, love and success in all your future endeavors. going to miss all of you very, very much. I will be deactivating my UO accounts as I give away my beloved houses. when I am done I will close my stratics account and my existence on stratics will be wiped. So many of you have been good to me. thank you. I unfortunately will have to cease contact with the UO world. I am sorry I wish I could continue to visit with all of you. This is the price you pay when you are cyber stalked. Facebook, my email addresses, icq all must be deactivated. My sister is having to do the same as the stalker is targeting my family as well. I wanted to have chance to say goodbye and let all of you know that I hold no ill will. You will live on in my heart.

Sorry to hear it's that bad, but as Duke asked, isn't it salvageable? There might be a dozen people in the whole world who know the link between my half-dozen main characters, but only one who knows all of my characters.

New e-mail addresses can be obtained, and there are decent privacy settings on Facebook. Just don't use your real name, and be quick to block anyone suspicious.

Unfortunately it isn't salvageable because of several reasons:

1) the stalker has our real names.

2) its moved outside of UO to facebook and they targeting sis as well as me

3) My sister's char Luc has a unique title she earned at an event. she'd stick out anywhere she moved to in game even with name change.

4) Our emails were on our facebook....stupid I know....anyway have to close them.

5) This is what law enforcement instructed us to do, and we are frighten.

I hate that the stalker wins but law enforcement says close everything then that's what you do. The stalker made chars with our real life names lastnight, our full names.

Why do some people think they have to win by destroying other people, destroying a game? I'll never understand how someone thinks they win if they are alone...oh well some things are beyond mortal comprehension.

1) If you quit your letting some 14 year old cyber twit dictate what you get to do for fun in your life.

2) Unless there is money or real life property / danger then I would disregard what the cops told you to do. I can honestly say that they just don't get how important UO is to those who play it....or how much time / value is tied up in it.

3) Outsmart them.... it's not that hard to keep Internet / RL seperated. It really just depends on how serious things are but I've known way too many people that have no filter in ventriloquist and tell you EVERYTHING about their life. Just assume that if you don't know them personally they intend you harm. I was in 1 guild for 7 years / birth of my first born and no one even knew my real name. Anyway...... just apply common sense. I am sorry if this is going on. But if you have contacted the police. You should really get in touch with Bonnie aka Mesanna. If the police request ip records of the stalker. Broadsword can provide them and lead them to where this stalker is located so they can take it further into catching the scumbag. You shouldnt have to change your life and lose your friends virtual or not we build relationships with each other.

Gonna have to second this. Seems like she is disrupting her whole life because some neckbeard (or kid) is being a dork, which of course is exactly what that person wants. They are probably in their basement lulz-ing the day away.

Unless this has REALLY gone out of hand and they are REALLY stalking IRL... which it doesn't seem like they are, it seems pretty silly to react like that. If they were really doing something and you contacted the cops I feel like more would be being done.

I would just ignore them on UO, keep my facebook private, and if they were emailing me just block them. They will get bored quickly and move on.

Or like someone said if its still really bad after ignoring them, contact Messana.

Quitting seems like a really drastic over step to solve this problem.
